Incredibly welcoming and wonderful hospitality from Tu, the proprietor! The room was incredibly clean and comfortable with breakfast as part of the deal. If you want to travel to the Mekong Delta, My Tho is an amazing destination to start this journey. Tu has local insights to share about the city and the area and includes the great places to visit and to dine out that are beyond the tourist guides. Sometimes when travelling you end up in a place where everything seems to come together. This is such a place. Located on an island in the Mekong, close to the city of My Tho (just take a ferry, it costs only 2000 dong per person and goes about every ten minutes) but away from all the noise and hassle. On top of that, not only is it the only homestay on the island, it is the only whateverstay on the island. There are no other hotels, appartments, guesthouses or homestays. It's just a small Vietnamese village. If you want to live Vietnam style, this is it. Chuong, the owner, is a warm, welcoming, enthusiastic and helpfull owner, you can ask him anything. Communication was fluid and easy. There are no real restaurants on the island but do yourself a favour and eat with the family. The meals, cooked by his wife are probably the best you will eat on your travel through Vietnam. Our room overlooked the Mekong river and was spacious, had airco, a large bed and a desk. We had a clean private bathroom. And our room had a terrace from where we could watch the sunset. Or walk 2 minutes to the tip of the island for even more perfection. We rented a scooter to disover the other islands and even Ben Tre. Ask Chuong for directions. This is just the perfect spot! We felt sorry we had to leave, we could have stayed here for ages.

The value of this accommodation is the remote location and simplicity. The staff will take care of every need, so there is really absolutely nothing to fault or miss. Also it is important to mention, that by all inclusive they literally mean, that different activities from Kayaking, fishing, full day delta river tour and so on is all included in the hotel price. I sincerely recommend!

Great room for that cheap price! Also very polite and helpful host. Nice location. You can easily reach the ocean, the Mekong or cities like Cho Gao, My Tho and Ben Tre from there. Street food only few metres away.
