This is an absolutely fantastic place for people who want to spend time in peace and away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. There is everything you could need on site. Very close to a small beach with almost no people. Great places for snorkeling and diving. The village where De Octopus is located is friendly, peaceful and safe. I spent a wonderful, relaxing time there! To be honest, I didn't expect so many different animals (I'm not talking about the owners' wonderful dogs and cat, of course 🙂), but after all, that's what living close to nature entails. Fortunately, the mosquito net allowed me to sleep undisturbed🙂

The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the breakfast was quite good. The owner is a wonderful person with extensive knowledge of the island's best beaches and attractions.

Wonderful property in a great location, Melissa and Colin are great hosts who are very quick to respond if you need anything. Walking distance to Jan Thiel Beach / Zanzibar and a great outdoor set up to relax. Rooms were spacious and the rain shower was like something from a spa. 10/10 stay

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. Getting into the apartment was incredibly easy thanks to the detailed instructions Leakena sent me three days before our arrival in Curaçao. The entrance uses a very convenient code system, which worked perfectly. There’s enough space to park up to three cars, and the house is a two-story building divided into two independent apartments. I had told Leakena that the purpose of our trip was to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and when we walked in, we found a “Happy Birthday” sign waiting for us — such a lovely and thoughtful detail that really touched me. She also left a bottle of champagne and some delicious local food in the fridge, which we truly appreciated. The apartment looks exactly like it does in the photos — everything is brand new and in excellent condition. We were able to prepare breakfast, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed for a comfortable stay. We were so happy. One evening, we watched a breathtaking sunset — it was magical. The tap water is drinkable, and we had no issues consuming it. We were also very grateful for the cooler she provided, which was super practical for our beach days. Before our arrival, Leakena sent us lots of helpful recommendations for beaches and restaurants. Thanks to her, we went to Isabella restaurant — and honestly, it was the best food we had on the island. The atmosphere was great too! Throughout our stay, she continued to give us helpful tips and was always attentive and ready to assist with anything we needed. When the place you stay in is this good, your whole trip becomes relaxing and enjoyable. We are so thankful for her warm hospitality and all the comfort the apartment offered. We rested deeply and had a truly delightful time. Thank you, Leakena, for being such a wonderful host!

My girlfriend and I stayed her for 8 nights and absolutely loved it. Our host (Jenny) was incredible and stopped by a few times to give us ice cream and other snacks. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed for a stay. Additionally, they offer car rentals at better rates than the airport, so I recommend that as well. Overall 10/10 experience and I will stay here again when I go back to Curacao :)
