Only one dog or cat under 20 kg per room (on request). Supplement of €22 night/animal and deposit of €200. Great location, right by the Pilar, easy parking and loading. Breakfast was excellent. I was in the Air Force in the 80s and we frequently came to Zaragoza for weapons training. We stayed out on the base nearby but would frequent the town when off. It has changed significantly in 40 years but was a blast to visit again. Highly recommended, its not even on the Rick Steve's list. Speaking of which, another hidden gem on the road from Madrid to Zaragoza is the Monasterio de Piedra, STOP there, its awesome!

Santa María de Alquezar offers views over the ancient castle of Jalaf Ibn Rasis and the Vero Canyon. It is set a traditional stone building with wooden features and Mudéjar brickwork.

Most rooms at the Santa María de Alquezar open onto a balcony and offer views of the surrounding countryside. All are equipped with flat-screen satellite TV, a phone and a work desk. Perfect location overlooking the town with restaurants and parking nearby. Couldn’t have chosen a better place. Breakfast was lovely too!

At the hotel, every room comes with a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. All rooms are fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, while some rooms also offer a kitchen equipped with a fridge. A real old fashioned Spanish inn. Despite our lack of Spanish we were made incredibly welcome by Rocio and Alix. Supper (very good) served in front of a log fire in a bar full of locals. Also appreciated the welcome for Daisy dog who immediately fell in love with the resident perro Sherlock. We hope to return.

Lorena is kind and lovely. The room is perfect. I left my swimsuit in the room Lorena posted it to me to Barcelona the next day. I would come back again

There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. The country house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Amazing place, amazing little cute town! 10/10!
