The shower pressure is a bit weak but it’s fine. The breakfast is nice, but there weren’t any veggies or fruits. All in all very good experience.

On-site parking is free. No kettle in the room, but can ask for one. Love the hot tub during sunset. Room is clean and comfortable. Location is good since we need to drive early for ice cave tour.

Our hot tubs, which are included in the stay, are located outside, 300 meters from the guesthouse. The view of the glacier was unexpected. We enjoyed the hot tubs. Grateful that the staff came out early to open the dressing rooms and check the temperature. Enjoyed a soak before we checked out. Only there for one night but it's the kind of place that I would like to have stayed longer. The best guesthouse of the 4 guesthouses we stayed at during our trip. The price was very reasonable! And they served a nice breakfast, too.

Rooms are brightly decorated at Hof 1 Hotel and have either shared or private bathrooms. Excellent option for 4 people to stay in one room. Extremely clean and well appointed. Our room have an attached courtyard to sit out in which would have been super cute if the weather and time had allowed. Showers were a great size and clean. Heated towel rack, radiators and hair dryer. Small mini fridge was handy. Restaurant food was ok and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Best complimentary buffet we came across. Staff were friendly and accommodating and communication was excellent. I had messaged through booking site to reserve for dinner and the response was within minutes! Beds were comfortable and we had a great quiet sleep.

Each room at Árnanes comes with a terrace and blackout curtains for bright summer evenings. Some rooms have private entrance or a balcony. Very nice and quiet stay in the country but still close to Hofn. Friendly staff and that makes all the difference. Nice size room and good breakfast. Only stayed for one night but wish I could have stayed longer.
