An independent villa in the quiet Calabrian countryside, B&B Bellavista Gerace boasts a large private garden with BBQ, a verandah overlooking the Ionian Sea, and a communal kitchen. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. I enjoyed my stay very much. The hostess, Francesca, is very warm and engaging. On my first night, after returning from dinner in Gerace, I found the hostesses family outdoors enjoying the evening on their lovely patio. I sat down with them and we talked for an hour and had a grappa and great conversation. That night I found that my bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in in all of my time in Italy. The next morning I had a wonderful breakfast on the terrace enjoying the Bella Vista, which overlooks the coastal towns + the Sea. I found myself wishing that I had booked several more nights.
