The rooms have been tastefully renovated ( possibly from an old farmhouse) with up market bathrooms & lovely linen. Some of the rooms have a kitchen, but not all. If you want to cook...do ask for the kitchen! There is a lovely bbq outside as well. A very quiet base to explore this beautiful coast & the hills. Cefalù Cathedral is 14 km from the accommodation, while Bastione Capo Marchiafava is 14 km away. Falcone-Borsellino Airport is 87 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. My family (including my husband and two daughters aged 8 and 12) had a truly wonderful stay at Case Vacanze Mare Nostrum. The apartment provided everything we needed, including excellent air conditioning, a swimming pool, a spacious balcony terrace with a BBQ and a fantastic view. Last but not least, it offered direct access to a beautiful beach, practically in the apartment’s backyard! Supermarkets were within walking distance, and the charming town of Campofelice di Roccella, with its nice bars and restaurants, was nearby. On top of that, our host went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time in Sicily. They responded quickly, communicated pleasantly, provided guidance on things to do, see, and eat in the area, and even helped organize an excursion to the Aeolian Islands for our family. It’s also worth noting that the apartment is centrally located on the northern coast of Sicily, providing a strategic position to explore the island of Sicily. Palermo is just around the corner, and a mere 10-minute drive takes you to the charming town of Cefalù, known for its fine beaches, restaurants, and picturesque streets to stroll. If you have a car to explore the island, you can easily drive to either the west coast (e.g. Trapani or Marsala) or the east coast (e.g. Taormina, Noto or Syracuse) of Sicily. We did all of that and had an amazing holiday in Sicily. We would definitely come back to Sicily and stay in this apartment again!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Agriturismo Cuca is a farm stay set in a historic building in Polizzi Generosa, 15 km from Piano Battaglia. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The farm stay also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This agriturismo has wonderful food, location, and host! When we arrived we were greeted with fresh figs and wine. Each dinner had antipasto, primi (pasta dish), and secondi (meat/fish dish) made with ingredients from the garden. Wine and melon liquor (digestif) were also offered with the meal. Breakfast included coffee/tea, biscotti, cheese, fresh tomatoes, figs, bread, homemade olive oil and jams. Every dish was delicious! The location was on a hillside with amazing sunset views. You are about 10 minute drive from Polizzi Generosa, a small mountainside town, and 30 minute drive from many lovely hikes. There are only three rooms available so the property is quiet. Pietro was an amazing host! His english was great, he had many wonderful suggestions for day trips, and even offered us a tour around his vegetable garden. He has two incredibly sweet dogs on the property that we loved. We cannot recommend booking this place more!
