She made gluten free cakes for breakfast ( as I was gluten intolerant) , home made Jams ( when chatting with locals they mentioned her Jams ) and amazing uova strapazzate with mint each morning. Her love of the island was infectious as she recommended the best places to visit and eat. If you are looking for a local experience with local people from the island that will make you feel like you are at home then - this is the place to be !

Boutique Hotel I Cinque Balconi is centrally located in Santa Marina Salina, with beautiful views across the Mediterranean Sea and the other Aeolian Islands. The surrounding area is full of shops and restaurants and is pedestrian only during summer. Staff were great, restaurant excellent, breakfast could be taken in the garden or restaurant, good location easy to walk everywhere

Featuring Aeolian-style architecture, Hotel Mamma Santina is set in several houses with terrace, balcony or patio. The resort offers views of Lipari, Panarea and Stromboli islands, and a free-form pool. The view is amazing, location is close to everything and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. Eleonora, the manager, arranged a pick-up for us from the port. She also booked us a day tour to Panarea and Stromboli. On our departure date, she offered to open breakfast early for us or even pack up a to go box for us which was incredibly thoughtful. Loved everything ❤️

The hotel is owned and managed by a family and you feel at home from the very first moment. The attention to the details and friendliness from every staff member was exceptional. Our special thanks to the chef for the excellent dishes and creativity. Having a catch of the day as a dinner with the view of the sunset accompanied by Malvazia wine from Salina will stay in my heart forever. Hope to return soon!
