The welcome by Luca was warm and friendly and the property was excellent in every way. The hosts were very kind and provided a lovely Italian breakfast. We were also provided with coffee, olive oil and other essentials. The property is a little way out of town, so you do need a car to get around. It was a lovely, quiet and restful stay at Agriturisma i Merli!

What was not to like about it? It was spotless, 20 minutes from Verona, gated and secure. Not to mention it has an elegant charm about it too. The owner was also kind enough to provide tea, coffee and snacks as well which is always appreciated. The owner was so sweet and really made us feel cared for. She also took the time to send us lots of suggestions for authentic Italian food to try which also helped take some of the stress out of deciding what to eat after a long day of exploring.

Stefano even took us on a tour of the hotel, showcasing the amazing 400-year-old mill still in operation, and the charming small waterfall that powers it. It was an incredible experience, and the hotel itself was clean and very comfortable—we definitely wanted to extend our stay!

We had an amazing stay at this charming B&B! The peaceful garden with a lovely pool made it incredibly relaxing, and the delicious breakfasts with fresh, local products (served in the garden) were a real treat. It’s also very dog-friendly, which was perfect for us. Our dog loved playing with Hugo, the adorable golden retriever, who made the place feel even more like home. Mario’s local tips were fantastic - thanks to him, we discovered incredible wineries and restaurants in the Valpolicella region we’d never have found on our own. Highly recommend - we’re already dreaming of coming back!
