This is literally the house of waleed’s grandfather in the old village of Dana, which he renovated as a small hotel. The generosity and hospitality and warmth of the family is what makes it so special — I stayed only one night but left with so many wonderful memories. I speak some Arabic, so my particular experience may have been extra special—but I feel like anyone with a heart will feel at home. My day in Dana was honestly the highlight of my time in Jordan—not as flashy as Petra or wadi rum, but absolutely stunning and full of genuine and wonderful people. It is rustic — so if you really need a modern style hotel, this is not your place. But it was cozy and comfortable and warm and wonderful; what more could I hope for?

They also propose lunch box if you need. The rooms are big and clean. The location is very good, near the entrance of Petra , there is many convenients stores and restaurants around. Tucked 400m away from the main village and at the start of the White Dome trail, this is by far the nicest, most welcoming, cleanest and grounding place to stay in Dana Village. Rooms and beds are comfy, the view is great, the food is amazing (thank you mom!) and the animals are the cherry on top of the cake - even the goats that try to jump up and into the Hobbit village 😁 Our host was kind and generous, we couldn't have asked for a more familial setting for our one night stay. We simply can't describe how wonderful this place is - book it yourself and try it out!
