From the moment we landed, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. Despite arriving well before our check-in time, we were whisked away from the airport and provided with a comfortable room to relax in until our accommodations were ready. The rooms themselves were fantastic, boasting efficient AC, a convenient fridge, and a charming covered balcony overlooking a picturesque banana plantation. The serene atmosphere, coupled with the melodic birdsong, made for truly tranquil evenings, especially when accompanied by the soothing rhythm of raindrops dancing on the balcony. One of the highlights of our stay was the accessibility to the nearby hotel, easily accessible via a complimentary tuk-tuk ride or a leisurely walk. There, we indulged in the refreshing pool and indulged in a sumptuous buffet breakfast while marveling at the breathtaking views of the river, where elephants from the nearby orphanage would grace us with their presence twice daily as they came down to bathe. A special shoutout is reserved for Andrew, the incredibly friendly and accommodating transport manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. From providing lifts into town to arranging transportation to our next destination, Andrew's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable. Overall, our experience at Pinnawala was nothing short of exceptional. The blend of luxurious amenities, breathtaking natural surroundings, and outstanding service made for an unforgettable family getaway. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this idyllic haven.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Hideaway Homestay kandy is a recently renovated homestay situated in Haloluwa, 5.2 km from Kandy railway station. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. When staying at the homestay, guests can use private entrance. It was very clean and we had a comfortable stay. The host was very attentive.

We loved the location of Wanakaset Forest glamping right in the heart of the forest which afforded us amazing views of the hills from our balcony room. The food was plentiful and delicious and the ladies in the kitchen incredibly hospitable. We ventured out on a trek with Banda who was passionate and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. We would highly recommend a stay in this forest sanctuary.

The place is unique and when you arrive, you find yourself away from everything in the middle of the jungle, it’s absolutely stunning. There is wildlife, beautiful birds dancing and a natural pool that is incredible. I am a solo mum traveler with my toddler and it was beautiful to see our sons play together. She even watched my boy so I could get enjoy the natural pool. Mona is a cool and lovely woman and I loved how her and aunty are running thia place. I would love to come back! Dinner was one of the best I had in Sri Lanka! Absolutely loved this place!

I had a very comfortable stay at Suwani Pinnawala Homestay…. the room was clean, spacious, and well-furnished, with a spotless bathroom…. the hosts were exceptionally kind, especially the lady of the house, who went out of her way to prepare special vegetarian meals for me…. breakfast was excellent, and the homestay is conveniently close to the elephant bathing grounds. Highly recommended!

Views from the terrace, the pool and the room are incredible regardless of weather. Pool is in a garden setting where the tea bushes meet to edge of the garden. Food good and not unreasonable. Staff very attentive rooms simple and old world charm but all in keeping with the hotels age.

Our hosts were the absolute best. They invited us to their family new year celebrations and we were honored to join them. The food they prepared for us on both nights was delicious and adapted to our taste. They helped us with hiking trips and organized each activity we wanted to plan. The mud chalet was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and we felt very much at ease.
