The building is located close to all the plazas and cathedrals in central Durango. We found several great museums and eateries within walking distance and the weekend we were there there was an antique car show around the corner with American muscle cars, classic trucks and race cars from the Panamerican tour. The interior of the hotel is filled with antiques and artwork. There is a friendly dog on the premise that loved to cuddle on the sofa and that my dog was smitten with. We had a king bed and a jacuzzi tub in our room which was unique. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. In fact, the locals were all so friendly and welcoming. The went out of their way to chat with us. The Central Market was walking distance as well and we enjoyed seeing all the interesting foods and crafts. Of course, there were scorpions everywhere… not loose but it is a major theme in Durango.

This colonial-style hostel is centrally located in front of Durangos’ Cathedral and 50 metres from the Plaza de Armas Main Square. It features free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful, colonial architecture, great location and welcoming staff. Good WiFi, hot showers and comfortable beds. A very special place.
