The host treated us to surprise easter egg hunt which we absolutely enjoyed and goes hand in hand with the surprise I had for my partner who later left the place as my fiancée. Sybille constantly checked up on us and asked us if we needed anything, she would make an appointment in time if she wants to come over, respecting our space and privacy at most. Fernando, a knowledgeable fauna and flora expert, introduced us to the surrounding wildlife in the most enchanting way. His sundowner drive, accompanied by the lodge’s irresistibly adorable dogs, was a delightful and memorable adventure. This lodge is a true sanctuary for anyone seeking peace, connection with nature, and an unforgettable experience. We cannot recommend it enough!

We were lucky to arrive after the successful rains filled the lake, creating such a calm mood, especially at sunset and sunrise. Each chalet is placed for privacy. The design is simple yet very interesting with warm touches. We slept like babes in the quiet with super comfortable beds. The family was lovely and attentive to our comfort, building a fire in the evening for the hot water tank and sharing the history of this unique spot. The dogs came at no cost🌺 as did the cattle. If you’re looking for a peaceful, starry place not too far — but far enough — from Windhoek, you’ve found it here.
