Whether you’re experienced or a first-timer, the husky sledding tours are a must. Gliding through the snow-covered trails with the dogs leading the way was exhilarating and magical—a memory we will cherish forever. The staff at Jotunheimen Husky Lodge truly go above and beyond. They are knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about the region and its traditions. They helped us plan our trip, shared fascinating insights about the area and the local wildlife, and ensured every moment of our stay was perfect.

In the historic Swiss villa from 1880, you live in the same building as famous climbing pioneers from the end of the 19th century. The main house from 2002 was designed by architects Jarmund and Vigsnæs, and has been awarded for good architecture. It has modern rooms, a restaurant, lounge and a mountain library. WiFi is free. This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

The chalet also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This property was a big positive surprise. We had a big room with three sections; kitchen with couch and table and chairs, pretty big bathroom and very comfortable bedroom. The windows were on the whole wall giving us an amazing view! Everything was very clean and really new. There were 3 more, probably looking similar, rooms but with not that many windows and view.
