The bush was filled with birds including a kākā and some parakeets. It is also on the way out to Tāwharanui where we brought our red lights and encountered kiwi almost right away at night.

You could park right in front of the entrance, and everything was as described. Nice and spacious and beautifully furnished, truly exquisite. There were many different types of tea, coffee, milk and lots of snacks – wonderful. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook, but there is also a barbecue. I particularly enjoyed the heated whirlpool, it's absolutely fantastic. The perfect base for exploring Shakespeare Regional Park and close to Auckland. The host, Sue, is incredibly nice and helpful. I greatly appreciated this hospitality. I only wish I could have stayed longer and can highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Clean, comfortable, and the host was really helpful. Close to the beach, a good restaurant, and a bus stop. All very easy and relaxing. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.
