The animals in their enclosures around the property are so well taken care of and a joy to visit and photograph! We didn’t take advantage of the pool as December is a bit too cold for us, but it is beautiful and quite large. The paddle tennis courts also look to be in excellent condition and having rackets and balls to borrow is a huge plus.

We would go back in a beat! This is a beautifully appointed, very comfortable and fully equipped accommodation in a quiet location that is a 15min drive from both Carrapateira and Aljezur. Vera is a superbly welcoming hostess, the breakfast is delicious and you can tell that a lot of thought and care has gone into the property. Vera had great tips for us regarding places to visit and where to find different types of food in the area. There was also a lovely welcoming treat for us, a meat & cheeseboard as well as wine this was a nice surprise after a long day on the road. The location allows easy access to the coastline and all the beaches north and south of Bordeira, as well as Sagres, Lagos and Monchique. We chose our breakfast everyday, and the basket is so plentiful that we had snacks for most of the day. There was varied fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, warm bread & croissants and a variety of other items on choice. The sweet potato torte and the honey cake were absolutely delicious.

Among the facilities at this property are a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house features family rooms. Lovely host that spoke little English but didn't matter. We felt right at home with her kindness and goodies that she made for us including homemade yogurt, cake and family made port wine from the north.
