We had a wonderful stay! The place was easy to find, with convenient parking and stunning mountain views. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Jurre and Ursula are incredibly warm and welcoming — we truly felt at home. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, especially the homemade dishes and desserts prepared by Ursula. Our kids had a great time playing with their children. A perfect stop on our way to Croatia — highly recommended!

Hotel is right on edge of small town only five mins walk to the centre, but in very quiet location with plenty parking. Room was modern and spotlessly clean. Bathroom clean and modern. Food was excellent especially the breakfast which was superb. Owner was very friendly and I would certainly use again if in area.

We were given a house in a great location with a view of the lake, it had everything you need for a comfortable stay, it is located near the entrances to the thermal parks and all the shops and cafes. Parking is near the house. Wi-Fi is available. Before check-in, the administration answered all our questions. My daughter's birthday was a success.

We stayed here on one of the last nights of our honeymoon and it was so nice to be able to relax in the pool, eat really (really) good food, and look at the spectacular views. Would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

The house is well equipped and clean. Martin, is the best host we ever had (and we travel a lot..at least four times/ year as a family). Not only did we find a gift waiting for us (delicious home made wine from grapes that we could see from our window..etc..) but he also gave us a little delicious present when leaving. He also gave very useful information and tips! Thanks Martin for the amazing hospitality and for the lovely accommodation where we spent 3 perfect days. We do definitely reccomend it and when possible we will come back.

The island village is idyllic, Castanea is spotlessly beautiful situated in a very old building; and the nearby museum specializing in Slovenian artists is a treasure that must be visited. Castanea’s hosts are kind, generous, knowledgeable, and helpful. These are all reasons I’ve visited 3 times while bike touring.
