I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

If you are looking for valuable time spent with loved ones, I 100% recommend this home. I will most definitely be back!

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the holiday home's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. We really liked this secluded and authentic former research station-turned B&B. Naturally there was the odd spider or moth hanging out inside the house but that is completely fine given the location in the bush. We also liked the spaciousness and the amount of ‘lebensraum’, the nice trail near the premises and of course the very friendly owners. Highly recommended.
