What else can be said about this magical place. The new and spotless hotel is located in a remote location easily accessible by boat from the main pier in Barù. Our suite had three balconies, each facing the ocean from a different direction, sunrise from one, open ocean and shade from the other and sunset from the third one. The staff, including Oscar and Antonio, were great as well as the front desk manager, Jairo, who went the extra mile to made sure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this place for its charm and relaxing surrounding.

Loved this hotel! It's a great place to disconnect and reconnect, the view is great and the breakfast buffet was one of my favorites. I went with my a group of friends and would like to go again sometime soon.

The hotel is amazing, with a great view of the blue sea. The staff were more than friendly and the food delicious. The greatest part was jumping into de see from the Dock. The hotel is perfect to be calm and relax for a few days, it is a great place to take out the stress.

I loved everything about the property! The room, the staff, the salt water pools, the hammocks, the food. Amazing! Hidden gem on a hidden island. If you are lucky enough to stumble upon this place, book it straight away! Possible to arrange activities if requested. Highly recommend a tour through the mangroves. The pictures don’t do this hotel justice, it’s so much nicer than you expect. Everything is of a very high standard. The staff are very helpful and nice. The decor and the rooms are gorgeous, all rooms have a sea view but would definitely recommend a room above the ground floor as they’re a bit exposed to other guests. The pools are spacious, lots of beds, same on the beach which you can walk right on to from the pool. Everything is very accessible. The food is of a good standard. The prices are a little high for things like ‘French’ water, so make sure to ask for the Columbia brands as they’ll default to the expensive one. The water sports are fantastic! definitely recommend.

Set on the Baru Island, Hotel Agua Azul Beach Resort features a pool and private access to the beach. A restaurant is featured and breakfast is provided. Cartagena is 1-hour away by boat.
