Dario, the host, went above and beyond for us and was available for any questions and advice for anything you could want. It is a bioreserva, so you should expect a dry toilet, a wonderful pool (inevitably with bugs), and limited appliances as the whole site is run on solar energy. If you are happy with these things as I was, the place is beautiful and peaceful. Bikes are available to rent as well but there is plenty around the location to keep you relaxed and occupied as well.

Lovely quiet place in nature. The deluxe room was very comfortable with an amazing view. We also loved that there was a swimming pool and very good food. The hostess helped us arrange our transport to explore the desert.

Nice place on a good location and with friendly staff. The swimming pool is amazing as it gets hot during the day. The desert is easy accessible from the hostel by tuktuk.

The room was very clean. The staff, Esperanza and her colleague, were very accommodating. They prepared us a nice salad for breakfast as we are vegan. They offered us ice cubes so we could drink cold water. They even apologized for the noise caused by somebody's late check-in. The swimming pool is a plus in Villavieja's hot weather. They offer good value tours (with or without guide) to the Desierto de Tatacoa. The restaurant they recommended (Sal si puedes) was very good.

Brilliant family feel place with lovely courtyard communal attractive area to enjoy drinks and evening meal with other travellers . Good breakfast Sheets cleaned and bed made after one night .Swimming pool extremely welcome after hot day travelling or in the desert
