Whoever has any sense for the impact of history on our current world will love this hotel. It is beautiful, well led, and also a living reminder of the complex shadow of the "long 19th Century" (including of its dubious features like colonialism). It was also the location of one of the most famous incidents (the "flag incident") on Indonesia's path to independency, so you will literally have a comfortable room in the middle of historical reminders. Its tranquil and lush gardens surrounded by the majestic hotel wings - and the occasional flying fox gliding through the vast open hotel corridors at night - have immense beauty. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, also thanks to the very friendly personnel. Several nights before I had a room in another high-class hotel down the same street on the 20th floor, but the noise from Surabaya's busy streets there was considerable, whereas in the Majapahit it was comfortably quiet at night. I hope that this amazing hotel and historical monument will be kept as well as it is right now for a long future, and I will happily stay there again next time in Surabaya.

Jane (the host) is really responsive and will do what she can to make your stay more enjoyable. Self check in and check out. The place was very clean and the view from the main room over the city is just beautiful. There is also a water fountain in the apartment so no need to buy bottled water. Close to the airport.

Our flight was delayed and literally stayed here for a couple of hours. The property is very clean, wifi and air conditioning was good. The host was good communicator and was on hand to give keys. Use the lifts on the right of the lobby desk to get to the room quicker.

Perfect hotel! Very stylish and modern inside. Friendly and helpful staff. We asked for iron, for new chair, to help us with laundry - they helped us with everything! This hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet with a various selection of dishes, including fruit and desserts. Very tasty! Also there is nice swimming pool and the restaurant at the top. We stayed in this hotel before and after going for volcano tour. We booked a family room which was really extensive about 70 m2 of the area with a large sitting room and bathroom. The food offered for the breakfast represented so many options from various kitchens that it would be difficult to taste many of them. The panorama view from the restaurant is spectacular. The staff was extremely kind and helpful when we were obliged to rearrange our stay. The hotel is well located with access to many eating options and commercial centres.
