I had an amazing stay at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway in Zanzibar! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their kindness and professionalism. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and always spotless, with breathtaking ocean views. The food was outstanding fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and delicious local dishes made every meal a delight. The beach was well-maintained, and although seaweed appears naturally, a dedicated team cleaned it daily, ensuring a perfect seaside experience. The pool area was stunning, offering a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of sun loungers and excellent service. I also enjoyed the spa, where soothing massages in a peaceful setting provided the ultimate relaxation. The hotel organizes fantastic excursions, including a visit to the famous Prison Island and unforgettable sunset dhow cruises. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be back!

Everything was great. The location, the room, the pool, the breakfast. In our two months in Zanzibar we’ve been all over the island and this is truly one of the best places we’ve been to. the staff is very involved, which means that the accommodation is well maintained and everything runs smoothly. Hope it stays that way, so I can come back some day! They have lovely dogs too by the way :)

We stayed at Maharaja Hotel in Zanzibar and the experience exceeded all expectations! We chose the beachfront villa with a jacuzzi (not heated), and the breathtaking view together with the perfect location right on the shore felt like paradise. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very well maintained, creating a truly relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. Anastasia and the entire team were simply wonderful – kind, professional, and always with a smile – and made us want to stay even longer. A dream vacation we would love to return to. The hotel is excellent. Good facilities, well located. We were very well received and we were given access to the room at 9am, when we were supposed to only be able to access the room after 2pm. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good. It was already my second time in Zanzibar and it was the best, without a doubt. I highly recommend this hotel. I will come back.
