Zambezi Dusk is located on a beautiful property with views of frequent visits from elephant, buffalo, and plains game right across the river. There is a spacious deck with various comfortable seating options for viewing wildlife, dining, or enjoying a drink. The food quality and presentation is that of what you would find at an upscale restaurant. We had some of our most favorite meals at Zambezi dusk and it was only 4 nights out of a 22 day stay! I can not say enough about the kitchen and wait staff! The game boat ride was a great bonus! All of the staff went above and beyond in many aspects, we can’t thank them enough. As far as location we loved that it was secluded and private exactly what we were looking for. The gardens and view from restaurant are better than pictures.

Amazing location on the river, very peaceful and interesting - we enjoyed spotting hippos and crocodiles directly from our terrace. Ethel gave me lots of help before I even arrived in Livingstone. She was so helpful, which was reassuring for me as I was travelling alone. She answered all my queries and was willing to store items for me. She arranged pick up at the airport. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and I really felt at home. I was here for 5 nights, and the apartment was well set up, so I catered for myself easily and comfortably. Peter took me out to the villages and market, which was amazing. I saw a real slice of life in Livingstone, for which I am grateful. Butterfly Lodge became a real home from home, and I hope I get to come back one day.

This was one of my great experiences in Zimbabwe - i was having some problem with transportations and the owner was so helpful and flexible to adjust my booking and stay in touch - the staff were soo helpful and they arranged all my activates I asked for in Livingstone with reasonable price and try to fit me with groups since i am solo traveler - the owner was always around in morning greeting guests and help it there is any issue , the staff as well , one night i asked if there is any food delivery and they insist that they will go to bring me food and i can't sleep feeling hungry, so it is happened I asked them i will go for a walk with one of them to buy - the warm water was always available - the breakfast was more than enough- don't miss having it near the pool
