- From $615.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 233 reviewsThis Property needs a excellent review, I travel around the world quite frekvently so I have many things to compare to! reminds me like a Maladives in the mountians! Stuff very nice and welcoming,( dealt with Robert at the bar and Andrew the manager both were fantastic! Fooood absolutely awesome ( Deer Cheeks to die for), Half a board is pleanty for the stay! Just get a good bottle of Wine! ( They have great selections). Breakfest is kick ass! Almost no kids, and they allow dogs, which all dogs were very well handled! This is Ski-in- Ski-out place! Two clean pools, one large Whirpool, Cold plunge and 4 Saunas from 45c to 95c , Cave-bombastic with constant 40c and 4 large rest areas that people just sleep, read or just enjoying the view! All Saunas are Male-Female all naked, but no-one gives you a grief if you keep towel around. The place has a great magic, since experince in construction filed, I must say they spend some money on quality of the work and great maintenance inside out and even great garden! This is a place you must visit more then once, becase second time you have something to look foward to! Cheers from Chicago!Guest review byKutekUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 389 reviewsPretty sure this was Wes Anderson’s inspiration. Amazingly curated property with a historic charm and stylings, paying homage to the Bad Gastein Royal haydays of the early 1900’s, but with all the modern comforts and cleanliness. The staff are amazing, as are the half board breakfast and dinners. We fell in love with this property, and can’t wait to come back. Like stepping into a time capsule to 100 years ago, but with comfy beds and an amazing spa. The saunas after skiing were such a hit. Can’t recommend a hotel more! We think in a historic town like bad Gastein, it makes no sense to stay at a super modern hotel - save those for the more modern cities, and revel in the beauty and architecture of Bad Gastein and Villa ExcelsiorGuest review byCameronCanada
- From $203.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 229 reviewsOur room had a beautiful view of snow capped mountains and the Bad Gastein Valley. We had freshly picked lettuces for our dinner and kind, friendly staff, including the owner’s family. We were picked up at the train station by Peter, the owner’s son, who also was our bartender in the evening. This a health spa, so try the Radon bath and the small group exercise class. I could hear birds singing all day in this precious spot with opportunity to ride a gondola to the top of nearby mountain for lunch surrounded by rugged Alpine peaks. This is a heavenly spot - a little isolated - so get the half board package and enjoy breakfast and dinner where the healthy menu changes daily.Guest review bykoenigUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 20 reviewsWow, this hotel is out of a fairytale, both the staff and guests are happy. Kids are laughing and play freely throughout the hotel with kindness from the staff and understanding from the other guests who are mostly other families or couples that know this is a family first hotel. The kids club was wonderful, though it’s good to understand the schedule well as mornings are outdoor activities. Meals are delicious and family friendly, with a special children dinner service, then off to kids club for the parents to eat. Spa was nice too.Guest review byEricUnited States
- From $247.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,111 reviewsWe were 3 families staying for 12 days in total. We have enjoyed each minute spent in the hotel. The ambiance, the comfort, the view. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Plenty of activities for all ages (3 generations of our family). I would highly recommend free classic concerts in the concert hall of the neighboring Hotel Europa or on the nearby square.Guest review byOlgaRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 99 reviewsI loved how huge the property was, including the long walk down scenic hallways especially to the fitness areas. The view from the room was incredible with the huge windows opening up to the mountains. The sauna and pool areas were absolutely fanastic. Right in the middle of Bad Gastein just up the street from the waterfall too.Guest review byAndrew KoehlerUnited States

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.Guest review byBasmaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We visited the thermal pool, the minimum stay is 4 hours, which is probably little bit too long, but the water was nice and warm, outdoor pool with a mountain view. Shops available. Petrol station available. Skilift right at the center. Very friendly and helpul people (a special thanks to a lady at a petrol station who helped us to find a car mechanic on saturday afternoon to fix our car to be able to drive back home)Guest review byJana GilchristCzech Republic - 10.0

This is our second visit in two years, so we love this beautiful scenic town with hiking trails you can walk to from the centre. The air is so fresh, which was why we came here to escape the oppressive hot summer air of Vienna. If you can rent an apartment with a kitchen, there is also a great (huge!) InterSpar supermarket near the train station - just factor in walking up and down the steep hills!Guest review byPatrick_LoanAustria - 8.0
It’s nice little town.
It’s nice little town. If you like skiing and bathing in one of spa areas, then you will enjoy. Not lot of restaurants and good ones are always reserved so you need to prebook if you want to have lunch or dinner. Not a lot to do with children, specially young ones that are not skiing yet.Guest review byLindeman
