United KingdomWe were really pleased with our choice of this place for 1 night. Its out of the way, which is what we wanted. Lots of parking, good as we were on a motorbike. The room was large and bed very comfy. Due to a national holiday the restaurant was closed, we went to the Golf Bar across the road and had Pizza, which was lovely. Breakfast was lovely too.

The breakfast was a fresh & delicious assortment of meats, cheese, granola, yogurt, breads and an egg. The room size was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The whole room was simply but well-furnished and decorated. Excellent wifi and the street outside is very quiet. Parking was not a problem. As the hotel's name implies, the restaurant offers excellent "Backhendl" - a very tasty chicken cooked in breadcrumbs - an Austrian speciality definitely worth ordering. What a gem of a hotel!
What a gem of a hotel! While it is about 4 miles from Enns, it is worth the trip. We were on bikes so I recommend seeing the town which is lovely before coming out to the property. On this Saturday night there were two weddings so the place was lively and happy. The room was huge - clean, comfortable, beds were great and bathroom clean and fresh. We had a fan to circulate the air but it was good that it wasn't too hot. The weddings were there for a reason - the restaurant was fantastic. We had traditional Austrian food and raved about the presentation and the taste. The local white wine and local beer were terrific. The owner (hotel is family owned) chatted with us and told us all about the area and the hotel. He shared some very special walnut liqueur that they make at the hotel. Breakfast was the best of our trip with the crispy small pieces of ham in the scrambled eggs. They put our bikes in a garage so it was very safe.
