The owners are lovely and helpfull. Rooms are spacious, clean and nice with a breathtaking view. The restaurand and the breakfast buffet is exceptionally tasty and rich. I would personally recomment to try the Jäger style turkey snitzel, it was delicious! The location of the guesthouse is remote but good! You can reach Dachstein within 2 hours, lots and lots of hiking trails around and planty of places and charming villages to visit near by. I would totally recommend to anyone looking for a quiet but charming place to stay!

Really aside of city's traffic. Rural alpine scenario. We liked it. at the property some places to sit and contemplate nature. We spend 2 nights during Red Bull Ring weekend F1 GP. About 1h 10 min to go. Return longer bcoz of jams. A few shops and Condors 10 min away.

    We had a fantastic weekend at Rinntaverne during the F1 race in Austria. The owners of the hotel are wonderful and benevolent people ❤️ We were traveling with the family and our dog along, planning to leave her at the hotel during the day since pets are not allowed at the race. Upon arrival, the owner informed us that pets are not permitted in the hotel – a detail we had unfortunately missed 🙈. We were in a tight spot, unable to find a dog hotel within 50 km or another place to stay. However, the owner’s kindness saved the day. She graciously allowed our puppy to stay and even offered to take her outside while we were at the race ❤️ Our dog had an amazing time, walking to the sheep, wading in the stream, and napping on the owner’s knees while she enjoyed her coffee on the terrace. Rinntaverne is a stunning place with clean, tidy, and cozy apartments. It's not just any hotel; it also includes a farm with sheep, pigs, chickens, vegetables, and spices. There is a shop next to the house where you can take what you need, leave money, and note down your purchases. It is possible to buy sausages, pasta, eggs, chicken, pumpkin oil, hawthorn syrup, jam, spices, wool, and more – truly a delightful experience 👌 Travel is not only about the places you discover but also the people you meet. Meeting the owners of Rinntaverne was one of the highlights of our travels this year. Highly recommended!

    The rooms were located in the top floor (2nd floor). View to mountains was adorable as hotel was closely surrounded with high mountains in each side. We rented 3 rooms and they all were very spacious, 2 of the rooms had separate kitchen area with spacious sitting area and separate sleeping room. Host sold us some ego eggs, there was also option to get other eco food. We were interested in hiking in Gesäuse and all hiking tracks were about 10 km distance, so the location was good. There were 2 restaurants around 100 m distance from the hotel. Washingmashine was not in the room but in the hotel and still quite convenient to use. Beds were very cosy and rooms clean and quite modern. No traffic at night.

    From a cost/benefit point of view, this is the best place we visited in Austria. It's just beautiful; the room was beautiful, and the staff was super friendly and nice. It's almost like being at your grandparent's place. Breakfast was excellent, and more than enough food. It's one of those hidden gems you feel very lucky to find. We will definitely visit it every time we go skiing in Hochkar.

    Admont is a beautiful tranquil town in Styria, Austria. It’s best known for its picturesque Benedictine Abbey and its opulent baroque library. The town is an excellent starting point for all nature and hiking lovers. In the vicinity of the town is a beautiful castle – Röthelstein with views on the town and abbey. Also the Gesäuse National Park is near the town.

    If I had known how incredibly beautiful the area is, I would...

    If I had known how incredibly beautiful the area is, I would have booked a longer stay. Due to our short stay, we only had the opportunity for one 4.5 hour walk on our full day in Gstatterboden. In hindsight, I would have stayed here at least 4 or 5 days so we could go on more walks and see more of this stunning area. We had our car with us, so getting around was easy; however, this would be difficult without a car. The dining room at the Lodge is only for breakfast, so travelers must either drive into Admont, Johnsbach, or make dinner in the hotel room or on a grill outside the hotel.
