We love visiting Sydney to go to the theatre as there are always good shows to see. It's an easy CBD to walk with the area around Circular Quay being great with the views of the opera House, the bridge and the Sydney Harbour in generalGuest review byLynetteAustralia - 10

Have had a great day wandering around the now beautiful city of Newcastle. My memories of this place from the 1970’s when we regularly passed through on the way to and from Sydney/Taree, were of a dirty, stinky, dark and dingy hole, with nothing to recommend it except the Hearties burgers and milkshakes that we could buy during rest stops. I came back during the early ‘90’s, and it still wasn’t much. Then in about 2005 I was here for an Early Childhood conference, and it was during the time that the Honeysuckle foreshore area was being redeveloped from the railway yards, wharves and warehouses, into the tourist precinct that it is now. Still not much to look at, because everything was boarded up and under construction. But now!!?? WOW!!! This city is beautiful. Still retains a lot of the old buildings, which have been beautifully restored and repurposed, but now also has a lot of new buildings. And parkland. Unrecognisable from the 1970’s. I enjoyed walking around the city and visiting the museums. The whale watching tour with Coast XP was a highlight. The Beehive at Honeysuckle is a great little cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Rydges is a delightful hotel to stay in. The light rail is a quaint touch.Guest review byStephanieAustralia - 6.0
Location was great for access to beach & town.
Location was great for access to beach & town. Pools at the resort appear well maintained & spread across the resort. Ideal for golfers. Rooms very poor quality for the cost. Single beds not setup & using double bed linen. Kitchen has junk crockery & old applicances. Bathroom always very wet after showering. Balcony not cleaned despite debri from trees.Guest review byJeff InnesAustralia - 8.0
Great little coastal town.
Great little coastal town. Watch out for the windy weather - can make the beach a bit of a no go. Good nightly entertainment options. Including buskers. Great options and quality of food. Superb scenery. Not cheap. Road into/ out of town constantly very busy - don't stay on that if you can help it.Guest review byCampbellAustralia - 8.0
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach.
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach. We saw three pods of whales with 9 whales in total. Admittedly, although we could see them from the beach, we needed binoculars to get a better look. Make sure you visit Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk, and take your time to listen and soak up the amazing atmosphere.Guest review bySteveAustralia - 10

Country location with a city feel.
Country location with a city feel. Great cafes and restaurants in both Albury and Wodonga. High end shopping centre. Short drive to wineries and and tourist towns like Beechworth, Bright and Yarrawonga. When ever I am in Albury I always stock up on great produce at Harris’s Farm Markets. Take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 10

We made our trip from Marrickville in Sydney and were very struck by the contrast in how lovely and personable the people are in Wagga. That alone was a very stark and welcome contrast that I would encourage anyone to experience and embrace. It's a city that has everything you need and offers it as a thing of humble quality, free of the frivolity, hype and nonsense back in the coastal cities. The city council very clearly takes it's obligations to the people as seriously as they should, because everywhere we went the place was very well serviced and maintained. I feel it's worth noting the huge sporting focus of the city that is apparent by the abundance of excellent sporting facilities in the region, because it speaks volumes about the people. They come together from a young age and strive together, supporting one another, cheering for one another in healthy competition with one another. It's entirely unsurprising that so many Australian sporting champions and legends have come from Wagga. In summary, if my wife wasn't a dyed in the wool city person, I would straight up move to Wagga and raise our young children there. It's a beautiful place that hasn't lost touch with what's important in life.Guest review byHughes - 8.0
Wollongong is a beautiful town.
Wollongong is a beautiful town. The right mix of city and regional. Perfect for a visit. People are friendly and options for food, drink and just chilling are abundant. Plus the views coming into the Gong from Sydney are unreal.Guest review byRiteshAustralia - 8.0

We were in town for market day on the main street and came across The Atrium Café in the Atrium Arcade. What a find! The food and coffee were the best we’ve had in ages. The staff were really friendly and even suggested a few good places to check out while we were visiting. Such great hospitality — we’ll definitely be back.Guest review byMichael VisserAustralia
