Service was sensational, Manageress Tima was the best. I had my mum with me for the trip and she needed some help as she finds it hard to walk to far since she had her hip replacement op.

Where do we start? I suppose having Rocky waiting for us to check in; very unusual and very most appreciated. Your accommodation and staff are very polite, pleasant and welcoming. They made our visit relaxing and were there to guide/support us without annoying us. (Hard to achieve both but you did it). The villa we stayed in was well appointed and very clean. The views from the verandah were amazing. At first the Wi-Fi only at the rotunda was disconcerting but we soon realised the pleasure in not checking e-mails and other crap every half hour or so. Overall a 12 out of ten.

The township was lovely but lost in time!

The township was lovely but lost in time! There were a lot of empty shops and businesses so it is fair to say that the economy is struggling . The LeaguesClub had excellent food as did the Hilli cafe at the cyclorama. This was the best attraction and very moving emotionally . The ghost dinner was just ok. The ghost actress was awesome but the content a little poor. Meal OK ! Baileys restaurant had excellent service but my pasta was undercooked so I couldn’t eat it. $$$$ but lovely ambience . The penal colony tour was interesting and the history very sad. The most brutal penal colony of the entire British empire. Captain cook monument was very well maintained and fab views. The feral roosters on the island are a menace. We had 7 nights of broken sleep due to the crowing of the roosters . Beware of the wildlife cows which wander freely around the entire island . Omg!

Locals are friendly. A good range of shops.

Locals are friendly. A good range of shops. Great little cafes and eating options. Everything you need is there. It's the hub. There's history and breathtaking views on every turn. For a place with such history, it's very quiet and evokes such a sense of peace and calm. A great place to slow down and recharge.

The whole island is a friendly place.

The whole island is a friendly place. The people obviously care for each other and the community works as a whole. The history of Norfolk will never be forgotten, and you learn so much from the many tours available. The modern day is present as well with WiFi and eco tourism is practised there in spades. The only negative for travellers who have never been before is that the whole island closes down at 12pm on Wednesday. Make sure you find out the opening hours of businesses. You will need a car to go to all of the attractions. The beach at Emily Bay, Kingston. Anson Bay, Captain Cooks lookout, the Gardens and Mt. Pitt. Restaurants abound but be prepared for shortages in fresh milk and vegetables. Food is a new adventure.
