Staff were very helpful with late check-in and even ordered a meal for me to pick up on check-in! Room 6 was quiet on a Sunday night, but I expect could be noisy on Fri-Sat as above the bar. Bathroom was drop-dead gorgeous. Standard tv, bar fridge, kettle, sink, toaster, cutlery and plates. Perfect for solo traveler and single night stay. Roast pumpkin salad was awesome! Thank you.

EcOasis was our heaven after a hellish day where we had gone to another accommodation, and it'd been triple booked, and we had nowhere to stay 4 hours from home and on Easter. But Ria and her family at EcOasis came to our rescue, and as night was looming after spending hours on the phone, trying to find somewhere to sleep. When we heard there was no mobile phone coverage or WiFi connection we were slightly uncertain, but we really did love and benefit from it "mentally" going back to watch countless DVDs available at reception, listening to the rainforest in all its glory, having a quiet drink on the deck and cooking a nice meal with one another without that distraction and addiction that is our mobile phone. We loved the tree house, from the full kitchen to the loungeroom with wall to ceiling windows and a comfy lounge, the deck (bring bushman's bug repellent as to be expected there is mosquitoes, midgies, leeches you are in a rainforest) the warm showers and bath and the especially guaranteed goodnight sleep in the bed. The management is so kind & they provide complimentary bits and bops from all local providers like organic delicious milk for a couple of days stay, granola for an easy brekky, coffee beans from the Roast Office Uki which is delicious even made in a basic coffee plunger, olive oil and more. A very beautiful place, would love to return one day. If you're a bird lover, bring some binoculars and a long lens camera as I'm sure you'll spot some beautiful birds or at least the sounds. NOTE: Remember you're staying in the rainforest in Australia and you must be aware there are mosquitoes, midges, leeches, spiders and ants, I'm sure there are other creepy crawlies Please note that they were not inside the chalet but were outside but it's their home. Phone reception isn't available in a couple of chalets, and this is something we ended up absolutely loving. There is a 60m 1.

Kitchen was open shelves not much storage, trendy but not always practical. Was supposed to be self contained but there was no laundry, so no washing machine or dryer. Table, outside and tall with high stools, unsuitable for the elderly or children. They did supply another table on request. Spaceous. Concrete floors throughout. Tv reception kept dropping out. Lacked comfortable armchair. Staff lovely. Restaurant too expensive. Grounds and wildlife lovely. Location, good but road damaged due to floods, traffic lihghts in operation.

Stayed for two nights at Mount Warning Rainforest Retreat.

Stayed for two nights at Mount Warning Rainforest Retreat. Great location, excellent ambience. Very close to Mount Warning. Great view from the camping grounds. Mavis Kitchen property is within walking distance providing excellent choice of food. They have accommodation too. I was surprised to find the cabins, where we stayed, other than ‘Eco’ cabins did not have any air-conditioning. Living area and the main bedroom had fans but second bedroom did not have any. It is recommended that the owners/operators should consider installing air-conditioning in all cabins. Perhaps there should be some cottage type accommodations with modern facilities to capture a certain types of customers who would certainly be interested to stay at this lovely place not minding paying a higher tariff.

We ate at a lovely pub at Uki with very friendly staff, reasonable priced meals and great atmosphere. There is a quaint petrol bowser on the side of the road! Very small country town. The roads from Murwillumbah out to Uki are a little bumpy with a bit of roadworks going on.

Very pleasant and accessible to the plenty of attractions in the wider area. Didn’t spend time in Uki itself as it is a small quiet village but went to some of many attractions on the foodie trail!! Husk Distillery in particular and Tweed River House! We also very much enjoyed the Tweed Gallery and Margaret Olley Gallery along with the views from the lovely lunch place Ajax dining at the Gallery!
