The hotel was at an excellent location! Lots of interesting and beautiful staff in 1-15 min walking. The staff and the service was wonderful! The rooms were beautiful and sparkling clean, with charming little balconies with a main walking street view. Definitely we’ll be back! Strongly recommended!

Hotel is nice and modern and we enjoyed our stay. Beside the temporary street works we had a good place for parking and we managed well with the access based on the message received from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and we had also a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Personnel was nice and helpful.

This whole place is a hidden gem! The village is surrounded by high mountains and the houses are from the 1850's made of stones with slate roofs, which makes it so unique and beautiful. We had the house at the highest point (a bit of a climb!! :) but the view is worth it, absolutely breathtaking! The house has 3 apartments and our was spacious and filled with fresh cold air on the ground floor which is a luxury at this time. We loved that the place had its history and Svetlana was very kind to share it with us. We had dinner, tried a few local dishes and they were fantastic! We are travelling a lot and this place is absolutelly at the top of our list, a MUST SEE! :)

The hotel is located close to the sights in the old part of the city and to the mineral fountains. The breakfast was delicious and coffee was very good. The restaurant menu for lunch and dinner was very varied and the food was extremely tasty. Towels were changed and rooms were cleaned daily. The SPA center was clean and well maintained. The staff was polite. The mineral water in the pool was 34 degrees and in the jacuzzi 46 degrees. The mineral water is healing for bone and joint problems and my wife felt relief from old pains already on the 2nd day.

We stayed at this hotel while in transit and were very happy with our choice. The interior was refurbished, giving it a modern and fresh feel. The spa facilities were excellent – a real bonus for a short stay. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly caring and honest. I accidentally left something important in the restaurant, and the receptionist, Maria, made sure it was safely returned to me, I am very grateful.

The venue is nice and definitely exceeded my expectations given the 2* classification of the hotel. The definitely could get an extra star given what they actually offer in my opinion :-). Staff was nice and helpful. The balneo center is well equipped and maintained with variety of procedures offerred (mud, luga, jacuzzi, pool, etc). Tasty home-made food available for both lunch and dinner.

Plodiv is a beautiful little town with some stunning ancient ruins and a great amphitheatre which we visited to see Nick Cave!!! There is a lovely little area in the town full of lovely restaurants and bars which ais a great place to spend an evening. The old part of the town is full of charm and hand painted houses and old buildings.

I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil...

I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil Levski - it is kind of mandatory, we are obliged as descendants of those brave men. The other place that charmed us was a restaurant called "Едно време" (Once Upon a Time). It has a great atmosphere and service, and the cuisine is delicious.

Food and service at Sani was very good. Train journey to Plovdiv good and very cheap. Trail walks good. Asenovgrad is changing rapidly, new buildings generally look really good. Sign Communication and rubbish collection needs to improve. As does an explanation of how to get to eg pamporovo.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Breakfast and dinner were a real pleasure. Their products are of very high quality and carefully selected. Impressive SPA zone. Visited for hiking to Balkan Mts, Botev Peak. Enjoyed our stay and the mountain. Imposing Socialist monument at the centre of the town. Nice restaurant at the very center. Nice draft beer and nice surrounding. Other restaurants of Kalofer were closed at the afternoon. We were surprised with the road network of Bulgaria which is in very good condition. Make sure you pay the appropriate vignette online before entering the country by car.

Perushtitsa is a small picturesque town, located at the outskirts of Rhodope Mountains. There are several tourist trails that start from the center of the town to the nearby mountains. Perushtitsa played a key part in Bulgarian history during the 1876 uprising against the Ottoman rule and during the Unification of Bulgaria with Eastern Rumelia. There is a museum at the center of the town and several historical places in the city. Perushtitsa also has a very good beer brewery at the edge of the town with taproom and a huge yard, that is very family friendly.

If you enjoy Culture, History and different cuisine, do visit Plovdiv. It is full of all of them. It rained one my second day, but I blitzed some of the museums and galleries, and could have spent a second rainy day doing the same, as there are so many of them. The History is amazing, and very well told in the Museums. Good restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets, where most staff spoke good English

This is a great place to visit. My son broke my camera, so I have only half memories documented. More to that, mineral water was off on our second day of staying. I am not sure how and why, but yeah... The town is worth visiting. Do it once and decide for yourself if it is worth to come back. For you. We will some day

As the birthplace of Vasil Levski, Karlovo is obviously full of history - this is where Levski and many another 'awakener' who launched the Bulgarian independence movement in the 19th century came from. The Levski Museum and the National History Museum Karlovo are both well worth visiting - as are the other buildings relating to the Bulgarian enlightenment. And if Bulgarian history isn't your thing, Karlovo is also the starting point for some mighty hikes in the Balkan - most notably up to Botev Peak. It's also just a very nice town in which to spend a couple of days (and easy to reach from Sofia).
