- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 205 reviewsWe had a wonderful time at Paradise Bay Bahamas and enjoyed every minute of it. The beach was beautiful, no crowds and sometimes almost to ourselves. The Cocktail bar and live entertainment (a wonderful jazz singer) added a lively vibe and the restaurant served delicious meals.Guest review byKendraUnited Kingdom

Georgetown is not well maintained, and it was hard and slow to get a water taxi over to Coconut Club on Stocking Island. The liquor tried to charge me US$82 for a small bottle of Tequila - which was clearly not the real priceGuest review byRyanAustralia - 6.0

I really enjoy Alice Town and this is not my first time here-I have made several return trips-but, I would say ( as they say "Eleuthera isn't for everyone") it is very rustic and peaceful and that is what I like, but some may shy away from the lack of restaurants and spotty electricity and " modern conveniences"... I really love the Rainbow Room , and Big Rock, and the Glass Window Bridge restaurant-and just exploring- but, the roads are dicey and there is no guarantee when/if places will be open-I used to really like the Front Porch, but have not found it to be open the past couple of visits-Guest review bykristenUnited States - 10.0

Location is perfect for visiting the breathtaking views of the northern part of Great Exuma and the hotel itself is on a beautiful beach. All rooms are spacious and modernly designed, most amenities, comfy beds and a balcony! Free coffee every morning in the lobby and varied menus for dinner each evening. The staff, as with all Bahamians is friendly, welcoming and they accommodated all of our requests. We enjoyed the live music on Wednesday with a Sax player! A rental car makes the stay in Georgetown more enjoyable, taxis are available but tend to run between $35-$55 per ride, so a car, even at $100 pre day is worth it.Guest review byTammyUnited States - 10.0
Loved every second on Staniel Cay. It is paradise on earth.
Loved every second on Staniel Cay. It is paradise on earth. Now I just have to win "lotto" so I can take all my friends there. Highlight of our visit was spending the day out on the water visiting Pig Island and swimming with the pigs, the nurse sharks, snorkelling into Thunderball Grotto with my partner. By the time we snorkelled out I had gained my confidence in the water and we were able to snorkel out through the gap holding hands (a very special experience as it was his dream for us to see this place together)Guest review byDianne StittNew Zealand - 10.0

Had taxi stop at market and liquor store when we arrived for beer and sunscreen to take to St Francis Resort & Marina where we stayed on a houseboat with beautiful views! Staff was super accommodating and very nice! Sterling was amazing! Chef at Snappy Turtle restaurant prepared fantastic meals that did not disappoint. Kayaked to Chat N Chill and had so much fun! Locals are friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful location to unplug and explore. Highly recommend.Guest review byDanielleUnited States - 10.0

Let me be clear, the dinning at the Rainbow room is first class. All meals that I ate there were incredible. The host is an excellent guy who goes out of his way to make you feel at home. All the staff their are friendly, just plain nice folksGuest review byGregUnited States - 6.0
If you're looking for nightlife or nice restaurants to eat...
If you're looking for nightlife or nice restaurants to eat this is not the place to go. There is literally one place that you can eat. It's hard to find food to cook on your own because you have to wait for the boat to come in if you're buying groceries, there's not a lot and they are expensive. If you want to fish and boat, this is the place but it is very expensive to rent. At night time there is absolute nothing to do but sit home and drink or go to the one bar "yacht club" to drink.Guest review byPatriciaUnited States - 10.0

We have never seen a more beautiful place - on the ocean side of the road. The other side of the road showed a lot of neglect and trash, but the beauty opposite this was so incredible you are able to ignore the rest. Also, the locals are all so incredibly helpful and friendly! I never once felt fearful.Guest review byPatty - 10.0
A small island hideaway used by yachties and boaters.
A small island hideaway used by yachties and boaters. The water is incredibly stunning, beautiful sunsets and friendly people. The Flying Pig Cafe is run by the folks at Embrace Resorts with a variety of food and drinks available. The Staniel Cay Yacht Club was a great place for hanging out, watching the yachts moored and excellent food. A great place to people watch. The beaches were spectacular with soft white sand and calm waters on one side of the island and the more craggy and rougher Atlantic side. There is one church on the island that visitors and the island people attend. A very warm, hospitable and friendly island. Take an excursion to tool around the islands. Gold carts are the best way to get around, but bikes and walking is easy to do as well. The island is small, only about 2 square miles. One can't get lost! There are a few grocery stores as well. Just remember, most food is imported and expensive. Bring cash, as there are no ATM's on the island. Some places will take credit cards.Guest review byDeeUnited States
