- From US$111.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 554 reviewsThe Auberge is in a beautiful location. Set in their own extensive piece of wilderness next to a lake. We’d booked 2 rooms in the lodge but were offered a chalet in arrival (it wasn’t compulsory - we got to look at both options before deciding). The chalet had cooking facilities and space for family time. The owners were incredibly helpful and took us for a quad bike tour of the area to see beaver dams and to look for other wildlife (unfortunately we didn’t see any although there was evidence of moose footprints in the mud). It’s very well located for exploring the Tadoussac region.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 125 reviewsThe cabin was both rustic and beautiful and the setting was amazing. I just wish that we had more time to take a walk through the woods. The people operating the facility were amazing. A trolley was provided to transport your baggage to the cabin. A wonderful breakfast was delivered to the cabin in an animal proof box. I highly recommend the small restaurant that is run by the facility. We had pizza's that rivaled some of the best pizza's that I have had in Napoli, the pizza center of the universe. A wonderful experience. Two thumbs up!Guest review byDanUnited States

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left. Special thanks to Vicky who guided our workshops for her amazing personality - we could tell how much she cared about the farm animals! And to Sam for the unforgettable sunset kayak tour! The accomodation was no frills but clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I can't wait to go back!Guest review byElenaCanada

Lots of cute coffee places and restaurants within easy walking distance, altho there are some hills. Whale watch with AML was fun. Whale museum was informative. Light hikes/ walks along the shoreline. If you take the bus, note there are no taxis in town to go to the hillside bus stop. You can walk, but it might be too strenuous for some. There may be others but I am only sure that a shuttle is offered to guests of the historic Hotel Tadoussac. Really enjoyed coffee on the sunny porch of Abri Côtier, very close to Hotel Tadoussac. Food was good at Chez Mathilde and there was music the night I went. Cafe Bohème had a good mussel/frites dish. Located next door to the only supermarket I found. Cooler in Tadoussac than in Quebec City.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 8.0

My visit was to ski at Mont Ti-Basse. Great place to learn how to ski and practice ski racing. Good place to spend a day if you are OK with small local style ski area. Check before visiting to see if all runs are open and all lifts ( 4) are operational. The St Pancrase brewery and restaurant are great. Unfortunately Covid shut down restaurants for this visit.Guest review byElanS2Canada - 8.0

The best place to get accommodated if there are less options at Tadoussac. It is calm, safe and perfectly surrounded with all the essentials like gas station, grocery shops, pharmacy, restaurants, ice-cream shops, etc. It's well-accessible from both Tadoussac and Saguenay. Staying here provides a great alternative to reach Quebec City (via Saguenay) especially when the ferry (route 138) at Tadoussac takes so long.Guest review byUmashankarCanada - 8.0

Good for a night, Forestville is a drive-through town with lots of grocery stores, car repair shops and hotels. Forestville is not really on the ocean, so if you want proper views I'd suggest drive further south towards Les Escoumis.Guest review byJulian TeakleCanada - 8.0
Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Parking is much too expensive, but the town is small enough to walk everywhere. The whales didn't show up. For a tourist town, too many signs are French only with no English translations!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

I think you really only need one night in Tadoussac, unless you really want to spend a lot of time touring around the small town. We spent two nights, out of a ten day road trip from Montreal to Saguenay, and while it was definitely one of the most beautiful spots, it was also by the far the most expensive. Had I known what I know now, I would have stayed in Les Escoumins, which is only 20 minutes from Tadoussac (and also really cute but less touristy), camped nearby, or stayed only one night. A lot of the restaurants are overpriced and not very good. We had a hard time deciding on where to eat breakfast and lunch especially - not a lot of good cheaper options. A couple of cute coffee shops but I was disappointed by the coffee. I recommend the microbrewery for their beer and poutine, Chez Mathilde for their tasting menu (expensive but so worth it), Cafe Boheme (pricy but delicious - try the seafood risotto) and walking along the waterfront. We booked a zodiac whale watching tour with Vacances Essipit in Les Bergeronnes, about 20 minutes from Tadoussac, which was really nice and more affordable than AML tours - also it's Indigenous-run, which we were happy to support. We saw a humpback whale and some seals. Was a bit cold (wear lots of layers!) but really fun. We also went to Cap des Bons Desirs and the Marine Environment Discovery Center (we preferred Cap des Bons Desirs, and saw some porpoises and a fin whale there).Guest review byKatrinaCanada
