- From US$158.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 5,129 reviewsOur stay at the Lindner Resort was simply fantastic! The view from our window overlooking the private harbor was breathtaking, and the small sandy beach, just a five-minute walk away, added to the charm. All the facilities were well maintained, and the staff were always available whenever we needed them. Even in December, the pool and spa facilities were fully operational. The dining experience was truly remarkable, with every meal exceeding our expectations. We felt truly cherished and pampered during our stay at the Lindner, and we cannot recommend this wonderful resort highly enough.Guest review byJanCzech Republic

We didn't know much about the East/West German divide so we were nervous about visiting Rostock. However, it was a pleasant, clean, safe town. We walked everywhere. There were nice parks, a wonderful museum and the St Mary's cathedral (first mentioned in 1232) had an astronomical clock that was a feat of engineering and upon striking 12 noon a procession of small wooden figures rotated around the top. We were impressed with the history of the place. The museum had a display about WWII and it was only in German, however we were able to scan large paragraphs of the display to the phone and download a German translation pack to be able to read it. We ate in several little establishments. We always got correct change back from our bills, unlike other places in Europe where you have to be really cautious with your money. I even tried the local Rostock beer!Guest review byHollyUnited States - 8.0

The town is very beautiful - nature, architecture, the beach. It's just exceptional, so many places to enjoy! Restaurants are very expensive and the food is either mediocre or really bad. If you really like good food, I'd recommend purchasing products in supermarket and cook at home. Little fish shops with smoked fish is the best food this place has to offer in my opinion.Guest review byAnastasiiaGermany - 10.0

The island of Rügen is easily accessible by car and can easily be explored for two days with e-bike and steam locomotive. Peenemünde is also a good option. Around Stralsund, you can easily take several e-bike tours, for example, to Aussichtsturm Barhöft.Guest review byjvstrnNetherlands - 8.0
This is an old town in former east Germany.
This is an old town in former east Germany. It was a key port on the Hanseatic League. The Hanseatic League,[a] commonly called The Hansa, was a medieval commercial and defensive network of merchant guilds and market towns in Central and Northern Europe. Growing from Lübeck and a few other North German towns in the late 12th century, the League expanded between the 13th and 15th centuries and ultimately encompassed nearly 200 settlements across eight modern-day countries, ranging from what is now Estonia in the northeast to the Netherlands in the west, and extended inland as far south as Cologne, and Kraków, Poland. If you're interested in history this is a place to go.Guest review byDavidGermany - 10.0

Ahlbeck is a beautiful, small town with just the right number of facilities (shops, restaurants and hotels) that provide the visitor with everything they need whilst still retaining its character. Spotlessly clean, like most of Germany, it sets the standard for how we should respect nature. When the beaches in southern Europe become unbearably hot, head north for sea breezes and warm, sunny days.Guest review byDBpragueCzech Republic - 10.0

Rostock is a charming Hanseatic city and this is clearly seen in the city centre and Old Town. There are plenty of redbrick gothic marvels including churches, towers and city gates. A short local train trip away is the completely different seaside resort of Warnemünde with its extensive sandy beach and typical German smart coastal architecture. A bonus of a December visit is the wonderful Christmas market where traditional mulled wine, beer, spirits, sweet and savoury food, and handicraft products are sold from brightly lit and decorated huts.Guest review byPaulMalta - 8.0

Binz is a lovely little seaside town, we love the fischbrotchen and cycling culture. You can get around on foot easily, the beach is well divided and organized, and you can get around by bus or train. Clean public restrooms are everywhere. Dont come for party life, but definitely for relax, no matter the weather. Dont forget to add lunch at Karls Erdbeerhof to your Rugen bucket list.Guest review byevie8vSlovakia - 10.0
