Cozy room with perfect views, small balcony and king-size bed. Quite, warm and comfortable. The room had everything we needed. Excellent breakfast and breakfast in-room service made the experience exceptional. Didn’t have a chance to try the spa zone but the hotel personal was really helpful and welcoming!

I liked the way we were welcomed at the reception by Veronica and all the support she gave us during our stay. Really wonderful. She advised us on very good restaurants nearby. Arranged cheaper tickets for the hop-on, hop-off bus. Made us feel at home and advised us on great wines to try and places to visit in the beautiful city of Toledo. She even brought us wine and snacks when enjoying the September sun on the magnificent roof terrace. Wines offered from the broad collection available at the hotel were very good and tasty. She even gave us great tips for our next destination after Toledo at El Lagar de Isilla. Next, our room was spacey and beautiful decorated. Very comfortable beds, great shower and absolutely quiet although the hotel is located at one of the most crowdy plaza's of Toledo. The location could not be better. Everything on walking distance. we could drop off our luggage in front of the hotel and received a discount for the parking garage nearby (200 meter). The breakfast was more than good enough. Lots of stuff to choose from and the man who served our breakfast was also very friendly and supportive. One of the best places we have stayed looking at all the mentioned aspects. Thanks so much Veronica for making us feel so much at home. We would love to come back in the future.

As the name suggests, a very central location. Lovely, lively bar opposite. Car parking was useful. Lady in reception when I checked in, and throughout my stay, was cheerful, attentive and provided some useful advice on what to see and do. I ate at the restaurant she recommended and it was also excellent. Shower was nice and powerful.

A hotel setting exceptionally high standards living up to its name! We had a very lovely suite and the beautiful bathroom had a jacuzzi! There were good views of the city skyline, the river and a formal garden with a fountain. I was recovering from sea sickness but the fresh, carefully prepared salade nicoise helped to restore me. The breakfast was superb. Hospitality with a vision! We felt as if we staying at the Ritz!

A place to spend a night at: Toledo is quite crowded during the daytime, but as soon as the sunlight starts to fade, the tourists disappear. Enjoy two different cities in one trip: busy streets during the day and beautiful empty city at night. Lots of historical buildings, museums and spots to take countless pictures. Restaurants are everywhere and you can often get into one without a prior reservation, but it is better to book something if you find a preferred place for dinner. Terrain of the city is far from being flat, but walking around at a slow pace is worth the views. Tours of the city are recommended but still optional. Make sure to take a cab if you've got luggage as the buses won't bring you close enough to your aparement or a hotel. If you stay more than a day, consider walking around the city - there is a nice trail along the high riverbank.

We liked the size of the place.

We liked the size of the place. It was just right for us to look around in the time we had. We loved the old charm and the amazing buildings. The cathedral lit up in the evening sunshine and we sat in a beautiful courtyard looking out over wonderful views. The hanging houses were a sight to behold even though I had to walk out onto a scary bridge to get a photograph!

The city springs to life during the first two weeks in september: Feria de Albacete - a bit like the spanish version of the "Oktoberfest in Munich". A leasurely walk through the city will take half a day on flat terrain. Since Albacete is famous for knife production don´t miss the Knife Museum.

understated and often overlooked, but Ciudad Real is really a gem. A lot of interesting museum (tho, some unfortunately couldnt take pictures of), a lot to enjoy in the city itself and even for day trips, you have cool options to Almagro or Damiel too. Vote for Ciudad Real city for being amazing

The rustic house was full of original features and had great views, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Lovely views over Alcala. Bonus to find it had a little beach area next to the river, very safe for young children. If you had mobility issues, bear in mind some if the streets are cobbled and on varying levels. Very good place to take lovely walks along the river. Castle and cave houses are worth a visit, we enjoyed meals at Fongones el Chato, Los Robles and Taperia el Chato. Great adventure area for young people, kayaking, paddle surf.

Clearly Talavera de la Reina was of significant importance in the past, but it has been marred by signs of urban decay and high unemployment levels. Still, it is worth a look to appreciate the lessons that history is constantly trying to teach us.

Almagro is a historical city with a 16th century feeling.

Almagro is a historical city with a 16th century feeling. Get lost walking its small streets (like Calle de las Bernardas). Enjoy its warm people, their traditions (like Las Cruces in May), their excellent wine (both white and red), and food (Manchego cheese or lomo de orza at the Restaurante de las Murallas). Spend time in the main square (Plaza Mayor) and visit the Corral de la Comedia (a historical theatre that competes with Shakespeare's Globe).

This would be a great place to stay if you had business to do in Valdepenas or, like us, you wanted a place to break your journey on your way to Andalucia. The kitchen was very well equipped so we ate in our apartment as the weather was extremely wet. The town is centred around wine production and it would be a great place for wine lovers.
