Location is Top, in the heart of Sanlúcar - 2min walk to main street(s) with restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful. Good if you know Spanish. Garage is available if not fully booked for extra cost per night (12 € when we were there).Guest review byVioleta MaBulgaria

The members of staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well looked after. Very comfortable. Will return, but perhaps have breakfast elsewhere as there were plenty of local cafes nearby (however this would mean missing the lovely staff in the hotel)Guest review byJo PlattUnited Kingdom

The old town is beautifull with plenty of local people and spaniards from diffrent reagions of Spain. Not too many tourist is good news. There are delicious and trendy restaurants and tapas bars. Medina Sidonia palace is marvelous and the Church of Notre Dane of Ó, a pearl of architecture from spain, has a sweet lady guide (and very well informed).Guest review byAntonioPortugal - 8.0

Hotel was great very pretty garden room was big and clean, sadly the pool was out of action for the time we was there, and that was the one of the things we wanted, even putting it in my filters when searching for a hotelGuest review byTrevor StretchPortugal - 8.0

Its a 'one off' - we have travelled all over the world and its in our top 5 as its totally unique and a living time capsule. Brilliant and a definite location to put on anyone's 'BUCKET LIST' and to let your imagination run riot from the Conquistadors to the founding of the America's and the role Religion played. All with a focus on this unique area and the huge significance of the 'equine' industry to create an empire.Guest review bySteveSpain - 8.0

The replicas of Columbus's three ships of 1492 and the skit put on at the Santa María. If you go to Palos by bus, make sure to find out what stop to get off for the hotel! Don't go to Palos if your main interest is good restaurants. If you have a car you can go to the other monumnents / monestary at or on the way to Rábida to see the ship replicas.Guest review byJoseph FSpain - 6.0

A small Andalusian town with no obvious attractions and not especially close to any. Only basic shopping and eating available. Memorable for the bell ringing and rocket shells that sounded one evening until after dusk, presumably to keep flocks of birds off a nearby crop !! Avoid the bar Zona Zero - expensive beer and cheese !!Guest review byMalcolmNew Zealand - 10.0

The nearby village of Espartinas is lovely.
The nearby village of Espartinas is lovely. Cafe Bariloche is good for coffee and cakes. Emma's boutique is great for clothes. Casanova Restaurant at the end of the town in Centro Comercial Espartal is a find. We ate there both days and were not disappointed. The two supermarkets we went into were very well laid out and clean. The cashiers were charming. We had the quickest service ever in the local Post Office there. I think it took 90 seconds.Guest review byMikeMarbellaSpain - 4.0

Bear in mind the access to the house is via a long dirt track which may not be suitable for all cars. The water is not drinking water so remember to bring bottled water. The stray cats can be annoying so do not leave food on the tables outside and shut the doors when you are eating.Guest review byAntonySpain - 10.0
Its unspoilt Spain at its best.
Its unspoilt Spain at its best. Fantastic fresh fish & seafood, especially the Sanlucar langostinos. Plenty of great eating places in the charming and lively squares. The castle is fascinating. The beach services are excellent, there is even a beach library.Guest review byTonyUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Matalascanas is right beside Donana National Park but the mosquitoes don't stay behind the fence so bring plenty of insect repellent because they are irrepressible and they are everywhere. At this time of the year (April), the main supermarkets are closed (Google lies about this) and so are a lot of restaurants and other shops etc. At this time also, the bars and restaurants on the beach are mostly understaffed and overpriced and so don't expect service with a smile or in a hurry.Guest review byJosephIreland
