In a small village with just a church and the bar-restaurant (very good). There is a car park at Place de l'Eglise which is close to the hotel. Beware the streets are very narrow! The welcome was in Spanish, no English. But that was fine with us. Everyone who stays must have an identity card to give to the hotel. They give you a piece of paper with the map of the village, the codes, the times of the hotel services, everything is well prepared! I loved this attention to detail. The room was large and clean, there were towels and soaps. However the curtains didn't close completely for us, so we were woken by the day. The breakfast was perfect. If you are gluten intolerant you can even ask for a gluten free bread and biscuits. There were charcuterie, milk, coffee, fruits, cakes, eggs, cereals,... all you need. There are a relaxing backyard-garden-terrace, a board games little room with free tea and coffee with biscuits and some tourist magazines with recommendations in the entrance hall.Guest review byMaëleenFrance

They were very nice to, in the last moment, change our reservation to Bungalow Deluxe as we had some changes who was going to come. It was beautiful bungalow of two floors. Upper was a double bed. Lower was bathroom with shower, armchair, table with coffee machine and double bed. All exactly as on the photos. We had patio with table and chairs. Nice swimming pool. All clean. Tasty breakfast. All people who were working there were very friendly and you could feel like being with a big happy family. So, thank you all for that great time! We stayed long at the swimming pool, so we didn't have time to see the birds garden. For my niece it was the first time in a camping and she wanted to stay there longer! Cute little town with a river running through it, a couple of nice bars and restaurants and quaint houses. We recommend L´estacio bar for breakfast and dinner options - you can park right next to it in free parking then walk into the town centre and explore by foot. We walked from Sant Feliu de Pallarols to Les Planes d´Hostoles along the greenway (a super easy almost flat pathway, that took about 1.5 hours with stops) and had an amazing lunch at Fonda Arnau - Can Remena (definitely need to book ahead of time).Guest review bySophieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The views and uniqueness of the town are amazing.
The views and uniqueness of the town are amazing. It is small so you will need to find other things in the area to do if on a multi-day stay but we had no problem with that. Lots of great hiking in the area and close by towns to visit. This quiet village is situated off the more touristy sites in the surroundings. However, it takes only a short drive to Besalú or Olot. Tortellá itself does not offer much to see. There is only one tavern-like restaurant in the village. Tortellá is, however, an ideal basis to explore the Alta Garrotxa with its impressive cultural and historic sites and its breathtaking landscapes.Guest review byJürgenGermany - 10.0

It's a wonderful little place and I'm sure there's more to explore than we saw. Just one tip: the churches seem to be accessible by appointment only (one can only peek in through glass at the entrance), which is a pity because there are some wonderful, very old ones. If I were to go next time, I'd arrange with the tourist office to visit them. The Tourist Office were wonderful about helping us see the mikveh and I'm sure they'd be just as great about l letting us visit the churches, but we should have arranged it in advance.Guest review byAnnaCzech Republic - 8.0

Lovely hotel but lacking in ambience as we were the only guests at dinner and breakfast… not the hotel’s fault but not what I was expecting. Room was lovely but I had to upgrade in order to have dogs with us. Food very good and well presented. No bar so couldn’t get pre dinner drink. No shampoo in bathroom… a basic necessity! Picturesque Besalú works as a short visit, there is lots to see but it can be done pretty quickly. The medieval centre and bridge are a great explore but it's also set in great scenery and the views as far as the pyrenees add grandeur.
