The location is wonderful, very picturesque. There is a bus to the city center, otherwise you have to take a taxi or walk 1h-1h30 to the major attractions or the city center. But this did not bother us much. The cottage would exceed anybody's expectations. It was very cozy and it had anything you could imagine inside, including a big fireplace. The sauna was also good.

Locating right next to Santa Claus Village makes it really convenient to explore around. Clean and beautiful room with private sauna and even outdoor jacuzzi available was just impeccable. We were lucky enough to see tinge of aurora through glass roof that night as well.

Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.
