We were so lucky to be there during the Aurora and this accomodation was the perfect location to view them from (down by the river). The cottages are accessible by a bus during the week. Close to Santa Claus village. We stayed in a cottage on the river front which had stunning views. Our cottage was kitted out with everything we could possible need to self-cater for our stay. Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. We went by car just to see the road and environment to Rovaniemi. We were not disappointed. Along the way met other international tourists like that of Poland, France, Spain, Germany.
