IrelandReally enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is perfect and I enjoyed everything about the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options and was delicious. The food in the restaurant was incredible and I already miss the food from there. The staff were all very professional and so kind and helpful. The rooms were nice and warm and very clean. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Ivalo as a place to stay.

NetherlandsIt was so cozy, beautiful, clean, and the staff were very friendly. I read many bad reviews about this place and I don't understand how. Everything was so good, we had the time of our lives. People were so friendly, and we loved it. We got to see the northern lights and enjoy three beautiful days in the Kelo. I 100% recommend the activity with the huskies!!

The cabin has everything you need including a sauna and clothes dryer! Although we only stayed for one night we wished we stayed longer. Great resort place, west village right next to husky farm and horse farm. Decent planetarium also, but they need to learn a bit about running these shows :). Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.
Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. We spent a total of 7 days in Lapland. 2 near Ivalo, 3 in Kiilopaa, 2 in Saariselka proper. As a family some liked Ivalo better, others Kiilopaa, and others Saariselka. We stayed for 7 days to maximize our chances to see the Northern Lights and were fortunate to see them for 2 nights in a row. If we weren’t concerned about seeing Northern Lights, in terms of special “Lapland specific” experiences, I would have been satisfied with maybe 2 or 3 nights (husky, reindeer, snowmobile, ice fishing). But, if you spend extra days, there’s plenty to do — ice karting, cross country ski, snow shoe-Ing, ski/snowboarding, Siida museum, etc.Guest review byMayumiUnited States - 10.0

Best place to view Northern lights. Unique Husky ride , and snow mobile tours. Winter sports like skiing , cross country , snow walking. Dreamy Winter Wonderland landscape ! Everything covered in snow is a picture perfect view . Stay in a Glass Igloo cabin to view Northern lights ( weather permitted) Renting a car is highly recommended , easy to get around even on an icy road . We used Alamo . Excellent car . Book all your tours in advance to avoid disappointment . Have fun and enjoy the cold . Be prepare to bring thermal clothing . Ivalo is a perfect Winter Wonderland Destination !Guest review byAben
