FijiLarissa was so friendly and accommodating. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the villa. We also enjoyed using the pool and Larissa went out of her way to give us extra towels and made us feel very comfortable at her place. We especially loved the cleanliness of the villa and how she had everything in it, self contained and we loved that the bedroom had aircon and fans in every room. She also suggested a great place for breakfast and she also farewelled us when we checked out the next day. Great value for your money, you will not be disappointed.

United StatesClark and Brenda were so much fun to work with. They shared their knowledge of kite surfing and ukulele freely. They are funny and fun loving. Liza was a great too. She lives on the property and works for the owners. Her daughter is adorable. They share a great deal about local culture and customs.
The snorkeling was excellent and very clean along the beach. They have an excellent map to guide you to all the amazing features to discover. There’s a swim through for the real adventurer. Their compendium was great with lots of ideas on things to do while you’re there.
Looking forward to returning! For the WiFi addicts like ourselves, we’d appreciate an upgrade in the system.
Overall, it was one of the best places to to stay on the island.

The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortably as possible. Osea’s food cooking was delicious and he has such a good sense of humour!
The excursion to the waterfall and visit to the local village was very good and interesting and the rock reef beautiful. I have been left with some special moments. I had a wonderful time at Salt Lake Lodge 😄

When we got inside, we had a very warm welcome from the staff and were treated intimately and personally, a trend which continued throughout our stay. Each day was as relaxing or adventurous as we wished, with easy to engage with daily activities or the ability to stay secluded in our private villa. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful, and made every effort so we could stay unstressed. The food was excellent, especially the integration of local crops in innovative new ways such as cassava mash. Being able to select ahead of time was an efficient way of not having to think later in the day. Our villa was kept in great condition by staff, and we were supplied with everything we needed to be comfortable. To get there from the road you need a 4x4 car or a little bit of walking. It took us about 10 minutes to get down to the main road + another 10 minutes into town. There are several good restaurants and shops in the town. You can either get back to the accommodation by taxi or by walking up: from road to accommodation approx. 15 - 20 min. The breakfast was exceptionally delicious. Fresh home-baked bread, lots of fresh fruit, good coffee... (vegan options also available). The whole team was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. You can feel the attention to the detail. Thank you Sharon and Team for the great stay. Savusavu is a great location for a peaceful holiday, giving to a more traditional Fijian experience with less resorts on the island. The market is a great for self catering or just absorbing the atmosphere, especially early on Sat when the fish market is there too. The people are very friendly and fun to be around, as you walk down the street you are constantly greeted warmly with Bula! Definitely make the effort to venture across to Savusavu—it’s far more picturesque than Fiji’s main island. Getting around is a breeze: you can hop on local buses, grab a taxi, or simply wave down a friendly local for a ride (just agree on the fare beforehand). The people are incredibly welcoming and helpful—they’ll happily arrange any activity you fancy, and you’ll feel the rich Fijian culture everywhere. We even attended a Sunday singing service in the local church—it was breathtaking to hear the harmonies and feel the community spirit firsthand. I have much preferred staying in the Mamanuca Island chain - cuter islands, more of a holiday feel and better snorkelling than what we experienced here.
