Lots of wonderful monuments and historical buildings to visit. Transport system excellent once you have got used to it. Clean and comfortable. A multitude of cafes to choose from. A vibrant city with lots of young people but no trouble. A lot of dog waste though unfortunately.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The visit to the castle was amazing inside and out.
The visit to the castle was amazing inside and out. A short walk into the Bastide (New Cite) is lovely finding numerous cafes, shops and cathedrals. Some great go to opportunities! Useful to know that some restaurants close on a Wednesday so you can plan were to eat.Great contrast between the old and new cite. Our favourite place to eat lunch was Au Petit Brunch. Everything was great for walking.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

First visit. Easy journey by train from Carcassonne. Everything seems to be in walking distance , mainly on the flat. Great historical value, exceptionally well presented. Used the littletourist train. Ate at / can recommend, l'Accent, the top of Norman Fosters 'place', our name and La Piazzetta nr the Cathedral PS You have made an assumption re 'young couple'.Guest review byRichardFrance - 10.0

Lovely little gem of a town, lots of medieval history and a good food and drinks scene. People are really friendly and a lot speak a bit of English if your French isn’t very good! It’s a very walkable town as well, and I recommend the little train tour to give you some history and context for the place.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were touring around by train so did not stay long. Narbonne is a small but interesting city. A good base to visit other places. We went to Carcassonne and planned to go to the coast but there was a strike so as we didn’t have a car we explored Narbonne instead.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Very underestimated historical town in the charming south of France. You can find a variety of options for tourists with absolutely different priorities for travel: great beaches, fantastic sightseeing options, fashion shops, delicious restaurants and atmospheric cafes, antic flea markets and French food bazaars.Guest review byInna - 10.0

Sete is a beautiful port city with lots of good restaurants and shopping. I'm glad I visited in the off-season as I'm sure I would not have had such a good experience with hordes of visitors. I can't even imagine the difficult parking situation! I loved walking along the quieter areas like the port and along the waterfront. The Musee Paul Valery was fabulous!Guest review byCherylFrance - 10.0

Cap d‘Agde is very nice destination with plenty of yacht ports and a few different beaches nearby. You can find there both restaurants, shops and disco clubs. Many small apartments with some with swimming pools. Big Aquapark and paid swimming pool are also in the area. There are buses to Agde and Gare where you can change to another bus to the airport but they do not go very often. Generally I do recommend.Guest review byOlgaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

La Grand Motte is pleasant and has numerous bars and cafes. The beach area is clean and looked after. It's not the most sophisticated seaside town but it's probably got something for most people.Guest review byLenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is a nice town with a beautiful beach.
It is a nice town with a beautiful beach. It has a very relaxing and positive feel to it. Most of the tourists are French families. I found locals to be welcoming. We really enjoyed taking the tour train around the area and had fun. Be sure to visit the beautiful town centre. There are many charming little shops and vibrant outdoor markets.Guest review byJung-EunIreland
