Interior decorations were a pleasant change from the usual sterile rooms generally offered and much thought was put into the very fresh and classic look. Breakfast was acceptable and taken in a light and attractive room beside the reception area. The staff were exceptional and would highly recommend a stay. Close to all forms of public transport and a quite and peaceful area.

recently stayed at Odalys City Lyon Bioparc and was super happy with my choice. If you’re looking for a spot for a short city break with the option to cook your own meals, Odalys City Lyon Bioparc is a great pick. It’s especially convenient since the hotel is right next to the Bioparc and Lyon’s 8th arrondissement, making it easy to get to all the main attractions. The metro line is just a straight 15-minute ride to the center, which is awesome. Plus, we easily found free parking right across the street, and they also have their own parking that's pretty affordable. The staff were absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming, always ready to help and make your stay comfortable. The apartments are clean and spacious, which is a big plus even for a short stay.

The hotel has a special charm. We stayed in a suite overlooking the Rhone, which was very spacious and comfortable. The rooms are a little outdated and could use some minor repairs, but I think that's part of the charm :). We particularly liked the large terraces and the very large and bright bathroom. The restaurant was exceptional, not cheap, but worth the experience. The breakfast was also good. I recommend it for a 1-2 day visit to the area.

Reception was very helpful, gave me a map and explained the highlights of the city. Also they upgraded my room to a nicer deluxe room. Bathroom products were Nuxe, really nice. Coffee machine in the room was good. At the 3rd floor there is a lounge area where you can have complimentary bottled water which was really good. Room was modernly decorated. Staff was really nice and helpful. Location is 2 mins from the opera. Highly recommended!

Lyon is a nice city with a town mentality (a good thing).

Lyon is a nice city with a town mentality (a good thing). Green areas within walking distance. Pleasant parks and public gardens without crowds. Lots of drinking water fountains. MAC (museum of contemporary art) is really worth visiting. The city centre is a bit crowded but that's nothing compared to overwhelming Paris. Regarding the Villeurbanne itself, river banks are green, no beaches, waffle booths or "tourists" with portable speakers near the river. The streets are mostly empty, though singing and shouting students sometimes appear. A nice quiet district in my opinion. Unfortunately not many food options, you need to go to Lyon centre for something more fancy than student's dinner.

Super easy and convenient to find in the airport. Interesting decor for an airport hotel . Super nice staff very accomodating when we slept in after a long flight but still made sure we did not miss breakfast even though we were late , great customer service.

Meyzieu is in a great location for Lyon.

Meyzieu is in a great location for Lyon. Easy to go to town with the tram. Supermarket and bakery a short drive from the property. Location near the lake was great for an evening walk. Tiki au bord de l'eau great for food, service and location. Local sub hire was friendly and a nice thing to do.

It's a beautiful and clean City with a lot to see. The basilica is spectacular, but there is also a lot to see in the old City including the cathedral and old theatre. We had excellent meals at Maison Moly and Cafe Comptoir Abel. The dome bar in the intercontinental hotel is well worth seeing, but drinks were expensive. Travel around the City is easy, as one ticket allows you to travel on different systems for up to one hour

The street this apartment is on is a dead-end, poorly-lit, private street that does not appear on some maps, so it can be very hard to find. The apartment building itself on the street was tricky to find because the street addresses were not consecutive. The door to the apartment was on the ground floor, but once inside the apartment, you had to go up a steep, rickety flight of stairs to get to the apartment itself, which was on the next floor. The apartment is described as a 2-bedroom, but it is not; it is rather a large space with two beds in different, open sections of the apartment, so no privacy at all. Very few electrical outlets and poor lighting. Not particularly clean. The wifi didn't work and when I texted the host about it, he was unhelpful/indifferent. After I left, the host tried to charge me 800 euro for supposedly damaging the television/monitor; when in fact I neither used nor touched the television/monitor the whole time I was there. Very unpleasant. All in all, not a great place to stay. Lyon is a big city so find another accommodation.
