- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 401 reviewsThe apartment is great - spacious, clean and well equipped. The real condition is the same as on pictures. The 2 bedroom apartment is very comfortable for a family with 2 kids. It was good that the refrigerator was big enough and there was a dishwasher. The hallway and storage room at the entry guarantees that the apartment is clean. Second toilet at the entry of the apartment is also a good option. We liked the heating system when you can adjust the temperature in each room at your convenience. The houses are located in a way that you do not need to cross the road or parking area (which is close), but go directly to the ski area. The location is great - everything is at arms length - ski-lifts, cross-country ski track, snow sleds track, equipment rental, grocery, automatic laundry.Guest review byVitalyFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 17 reviewsWe were a family of 18 in three rooms with young children. The situation of the rooms that we were given on one floor and close together was ideal. It meant any noise didn’t annoy other guests. The size of the 6/8 bed room meant we could all eat together in the evening. The swimming pool/spa area made the holiday extra special. Bread etc can be delivered to your door. Also the staff seemed super relaxed and happy to help.Guest review byGeorginaUnited Kingdom

The staff was extremely careful and caring regarding every wish. The pool, even if it is a small one is perfect. The restaurant has an extended wine list, good food and service. For a week stay we loved the place. Happily revisit Chateau Candie anytime.Guest review byMihaiGermany

Interesting town with cultural heritage.
Interesting town with cultural heritage. I was just passing through en route from Italy to London but it is a perfect stopover for one night. Unfortunately I was there on a Monday, when some attractions eg the castle are closed but I did visit the cathedral. There are many restaurants which sell local produce.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Aix-les-Bains is a very pleasant town on the shores of the biggest lake in France: Lake Bouget. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit including a Casino, mountains and water sports. If you can, we recommend you try the boat cruse around the lake and include a meal on board.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The apartment is very accommodating.
The apartment is very accommodating. We spent a lot of time there as there was a heat wave and with four people it was just right. It has a good kitchen and two bathrooms so nobody got in each others way. Very close to the centre of Bourg and close to restaurants in the area. We will have no trouble booking again if we are in that area. As there was only four people in our group it was great but it says it is for eight people and that would be a squeeze as there are bunk beds in some rooms. Otherwise thank you for making it a nice place to stay and my transporter fitted in the underground car park with no trouble. definitely recommend as all the people in my group would.Guest review bymark, devonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It's a very nice little town.
It's a very nice little town. I was mainly for cycling, there are plenty of options nearby. I loved the place for that. I will go back next year. We ate kebabs and pizza in the surrounding restaurants, and sometimes we cooked in the apartment. We did not use public transport, or traveled by car or bicycle. There is a kebab place two corners down, the maxi tacos, you have to try them, they are very delicious.Guest review byMátéHungary - 10.0

Large village in a steep sided valley with walks from the village possible, although better to drive up to the starting point of a huge range of alpine walks. Big centre for road and mountain biking. Unfortunately also very popular with motor bikes which can go around in ridiculous large groups. Several restaurants in the village, some only open in the latter half of the week/week end when we were there in September.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The ski area is great for everyone.
The ski area is great for everyone. There are plenty of green and blue slopes as well as more challenging runs and snowparks for the advanced skiers. The transportation and lifts are well run and were not too busy despite it being half-term. Good snow on the higher runs. Do not expect English to be spoken, it's a very French resort. Great restaurants and takeaway options, as well as traiteurs selling readymade meals, rotisserie chickens and lots of delicious local cheese and wine.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason.
It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason. Huge ski area, that never disappoints. We have skied Val for over 16yrs, and always find ourselves coming back. A few of the livelier places in town have disappeared over the last few years so it’s not quite the Apres ski town it used to be. But as we are getting older we don’t miss them as our days of being out all night are behind us. So the fact there are lots of nice restaurants for the evening is right up out street nowadays as opposed to loud bars and nightclubs.Guest review byGarethUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The accommodation was cosy, well maintained and had everything I needed plus it is really close to Orelle ski lift. The only thing missing was an oven, but not a major drama because there is a microwaveGuest review byNicolasUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I lived in Chambery for a year 20 years ago. It is the ideal blend of bigger town conveniences and smaller town authenticity. At first drive or walk through, you might think “pass”. But if you get out and start to walk around the central heart of town and also realize the history here, you discover Chambery’s charm.Guest review byRachelUnited States - 8.0

The Lac is a big draw for us on holiday but the lovely park, busy town centre and friendly people make it a home away from home. It’s almost like a two centre holiday. Transport routes are great with regular local buses and a great number of trains to go further afield - Lyon, Grenoble, Annecy, Paris and even Geneva to name a few.Guest review byLeoUnited Kingdom
