The room was super great! It looked like a 2 bedroom apartment, both rooms had microwave and one room had a fridge. We had cookies, cutlery and plates available for us, plus coffee, milk in a sac and hot chocolate. The facilities were good and renovated. Free Parking in the back. No reception. We received the code for the main door and bedroom door - really easy as long as you have access to the internet!

We are a family of 4 and we were there for 4 days in July. The place is wonderful, a house with a special charm in a wonderful landscape. The owner made us feel at home from the first moment and she was very good with us. We have very fond memories of her and the rest of her staff. By the way, the owner speaks very good Spanish.
The breakfasts are abundant, healthy, varied and very good. The children had a great time playing with the two little dogs that are charming and very well behaved.
We wish we could have stayed much longer!

Absolutely beautiful property. Such attention to detail with the interiors. Beds extremely comfortable and lovely large fluffy towels. Lounge beautifully decorated and furnished. Breakfast was amazing. The property is spotless. Fiona the owner makes one extremely welcome.

We enjoyed our stay at the Estate of Ord - many things...
We enjoyed our stay at the Estate of Ord - many things contributed to this, not the least of which was the polite and professional service from the staff. The country location and the old estate are charming. Our room had plenty of room, a nice high ceiling and a good bath. Things that could be improved are the lack of an electrical outlet for charging devices in our room and the provision of lighting from the lower parking area (as we were not able to find a space at the lodge and had to manage in the dark). One evening there was no hot water for a shower, as well. Otherwise, everything was very nice and the food was good. I've forgotten the type of fish but the meal of fish was delicious.

What a beautiful part of Scotland!
What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful and yet is near enough to a city if you need one then Munlochy is the place. The village does have a co-op which is a short walk from the cottage we stayed at.

The village was clean and tidy and there is everything you need on your doorstep.We found the people really helpful and friendly.There is a lot too see and some great walks for all ages.We spent a lot of time on the beach and down at the harbour.We would recommend the Chinese takeaway it was really good and worth every penny.There is a lovely swing park for the kids with something for all ages.Avoch is easy to get round as everything is at hand,it is a great place and the scenery is spectacular.

Loverly little coastal village, has the one pub, The plough, a loverly old pub , good selection of local beers, whiskies etc.
The Crofters Resturant , worth a visit, we had 2 very nice evening meals. Friendly staff.
The beach, nice for walks to Chanonry point, and hope to see dolphins and seals.
Nice walk to the Fairy Glen, to waterfalls at the end.
There’s a cafe on the beach.
And not to far away and a must visit, Cromarty .

Liked · Squeaky clean premises. Large living/dining/kitchen room, with a large TV. Clean, fresh linen.
Although we could not take advantage of it, the Inn being right below the rooms would have meant we could have had food and drinks at our convenience.
The place is within a short walking distance of SPAR, a reasonably well stocked grocery store for essentials.
Fresh milk in the fridge!
Disliked · Well, there was just one pan and one pot in the kitchen. I sincerely feel a few more of these would be very useful for future guests.
There are excellent electric radiators everywhere, but the choice of timer settings should be preferably left to the guests.
A mixer tap for the hot and cold water in the bathroom would be extremely useful.
The bathroom door bolt (from inside) needs attention. We went with close friends, but not close enough for people to walk in freely when one is using the bathroom!
In today's times, segregation of trash is a must. We felt bad dumping all our trash in the same bin

Always love Cromarty.
Always love Cromarty. Friendly community & a constant change of happy visitors too. Beautiful area & can never fault the food at the Royal hotel at the harbour, alway fresh made & tastey. Honestly the best haddock & crunchy tripple cooked chips I've had in years!.. Just wish the pubs were open a bit later at night. Easy to park up & stoat about on foot, no need to rush about. I've stayed hear by myself several times & again with mum or my hubby. Beautiful place whether you're a day visitor or staying locally for a week.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

It's a beautiful village.
It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.
