Wonderful place with very friendly staff.
Wonderful place with very friendly staff. Julie and Zara were extremely helpful and offered to help in anyway. A warm welcome from the moment we walked in. The room was an upgrade and had a lovely view of the lake.Guest review byPatriciaJersey - 2.0

The facilities around the Belfry were non existing the shower we were offered was way to small anyone quite large would not have gotten in if you wanted to go out for evening meal you couldn't unless you drove somewhere and you wouldn't be able to have an alcoholic drink with it due to the country lanes drive back taxis don't exist until Thursday's at the earliest we only stayed one night and escaped thank god the money we paid doesn't matter to us and I think if you check your records you will see this for yourself I think you should remove this place from your list so no one else gets a booking that is misleading with incorrect information 😒😒😒Guest review bypriceUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Hemyock is a pretty village with plenty of walking trails, historical sites and a local shop so is great for families to visit. The local countryside is picturesque and driving around the village was easy and within easy distance of larger towns.Guest review byMelUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely quiet village. The pub is most excellent.
Lovely quiet village. The pub is most excellent. A fete takes place yearly and the village hall has numerous events all year round. There is a church, a red phone box library, a small shop and cafe. A river runs through the village and there are numerous scenic walks. Other villages, small towns and the beach etc are all a short car drive away....Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A good area to escape the hum drum of city life.
A good area to escape the hum drum of city life. I suggest you buy an OS map and enjoy exploring some interesting out of the way places . Your sat nav will have a job keeping up with road closures. Maybe we were just unlucky but they seem to spring up everywhere without notice There are quite a few good pubs and restaurants in the area which we found using google .Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A very beautiful place but we had gone with the intention of walking but unfortunately there wasn’t really any walks we could do from the site. We expected to be able to do king signposted walks from the site across fields etc but the only one we was told about would mean walking along a lot of no pavement roadsGuest review byRoslynUnited Kingdom - 6.0

There is a pub, just over the road from the Belfry that shut (lease not being extended) on 09 Jul 22. However there are a number of pubs etc. just a short drive from the property. Yarcombe is very small, there is a church and on a Saturday morning a small market in the village hall, which we went round and there were some nice things to purchase.Guest review bypeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A beautiful parish I did not know about.
A beautiful parish I did not know about. A bit of a hidden gem with a strong community and collectively owned pub. A place I would like to explore more in the future. Fantastic scenery with hills and woods all around.Guest review byLizzieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Accommodation is very much off the beaten track and you definitely need to add time onto any direction times given by the sat nav as the roads are tiny. But it is worth persevering. Some lovely pubs to eat at (would recommend booking) and beautiful villages to explore. Great place to also start for some of the larger tourist destinations around Devon and Somerset (once you are off the village roads).Guest review byBelindaUnited Kingdom
