The receptionist at the check in was very polite and helpful. The room had a mountain view and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Good selection of fruit and cereal at the breakfast buffet.

The hosts were lovely and accommodating. The room we stayed in was spacious but still cosy and it was incredibly clean. The breakfast was delicious. Bacon cooked perfectly! The location was amazing. Only a 15 minute drive from skafell pike and a stones throw from the beach, which is gorgeous. 10/10 would definitely come stay again.

Loved the surrounding area (with the alpacas). The room & bed were both super comfortable to stay in. Really enjoyed all the little touches in the decor and the services provided (cake in the afternoon, breakfast was amazing, great recommendations of nearby restaurant, the mini bar had tons of options). Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very close to the deepest lake in England - would definitely come back and stay here!

Location is amazing, staff were so attentive and helpful, lounge area is a lovely place to meet friends and spend time, especially with its festive decoration. We live locally, Workington, and enjoy infrequent visits to Keswick. Plenty of places to eat, lots of shops although there is a leaning towards the hiking and walking supplies and touristy stuff there are a good number of independent shops that are well worth a visit, and a goodly amount of activities, crazy golf, Kong climbing wall, trip on the lake etc. Keswick is also very handy for the rest of the Lakes, with decent public transport links, X4/X4 between Workington and Penrith and the 555 that runs through to Kendal and Lancaster.

A quaint little Georgian town on the edge of the Lake...

A quaint little Georgian town on the edge of the Lake District, with a scenic harbour. The Rum Story & Jefferson's Shop is a must see and The Beacon Museum is definitely worth a visit. You can walk on the pier all the way to the end, be careful in bad weather, the block floor is not even. Lots of nice buildings around, many have seen better days but worth a walk around the town. The courtyard and gardens at the little church on Lowther Street are very scenic. The waters in the Queens Dock are an orange colour from the iron leaking in, certainly makes it unique and memorable (investigations into resolving it are underway). The Former Wellington Pit site gives a great view over the town. Lots of local pubs around, I must give a special mention to The Vagabond bar / restaurant, probably the best pizzas we've ever tasted anywhere.
