Everything. The room was fantastic and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are quiet and we never heard any outside street noise. The restaurant is great - everything we had was great and the best chips / fries I have ever had. Breakfast is also great and good value for a hotel. Lastly the staff are lovely. Breakfast was good. Choice of a la carte or nugget with many choices! Location was good - able to walk most places in 15-20 minute walk. Room we had was compact - but well designed - so it was fine. It’s a nice social place!

The Parklands Hotel was fabulous. It was our last night of touring on the motorbikes, so it was booked for the comfort, relaxation and most importantly, the Hydrotherapy pool to help 'revive & rejuvenate' some of the muscles from the long journeys. It was an absolute pleasure to use the leisure facilities and it was desperately needed. Some (3 of 6) of the hydrotherapy sections sadly were not working properly or at all, but hopefully the hotel gets them serviced and back up and running. The saunas were gorgeous, and then an ice cold blast mist shower was 'invigorating'! The leisure centre cloak/locker/changing rooms for both the male and female, were clean and well maintained. The users of the facilities were also very considerate of others and ensured they left it clean and tidy, which is always wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, and the facilities in the room were lovely. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the room. The bathroom was superb, with a large shower, that was so devine, and a large deep bath (sadly a long luxurious soak in the bath was not able to be had). Everything was clean and of stunning quality. The parking facilities are to the rear of the hotel which was a relief for us with the motorbikes, and we could see them from our room window. Always a bonus. We didn't eat in the hotel or avail of the restaurant, we took a walk to Nonna Gina's in the shopping centre just 10minutes walk up the road and had gorgeous Italian food, Gluten free menu was packed with everything Italian. I was in love with that menu! haha We would most certainly recommend the Parklands Hotel to any who are looking for a fabulous hotel to stay in in Newton Mearns. It was glorious.

I am surprised by some of the poor reviews. We used this a one-nighter before an early flight (we did not do breakfast) and I was very happy. Good room, good TV, bathroom. Easy checkin, Good restaurant on-site. Good price. Shuttle to the airport for a price (about the same as a taxi - no point in waiting for it to go to the hotel, but it is convenient to have it booked for return). Ample parking. Much cheaper than the hotels closer to the airport.

Absolutely exceptional in every way! We were picking up family from the airport and booked here last minute after delays and were sooo pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a deluxe double room and it was incredible! Had stunning windows, lovely furnishings and a super comfortable bed. The staff really made the whole experience though! Alan (concierge) and Arlene (front desk) were so kind and helpful. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Lots to do and see in and around Glasgow.

Lots to do and see in and around Glasgow. The Red Bus Tour is an excellent way to see Glasgow and get the layout and you can get on and off at any point and rejoin where you wish. Staying in the West End was definitely worth it with all the very good bars, restaurants and cafes and only a mile from the city centre, 30 minutes walk or a short bus ride with Kelvingrove Museum and Gardens a must. The city centre Buchanan Street is pedestrianised clean with a large variety of shops, with Theatres and cinemas nearby. The East End of Glasgow is worth visiting especialy Glasgow Cathederal, Acropolis (views over the City are amazing) and the oldest house in Glasgow. Heading out of Glasgow the Burrell collection is well worth seeing along with the building and the Highland cattle.

A wonderful place—I come back every year!

A wonderful place—I come back every year! Paisley is well worth a visit, not only for its charm but also for the warmth and friendliness of the people. There are plenty of great spots to eat and drink; my personal favorites are Roasters Coffee Shop on High Street and the Wetherspoon’s pub conveniently located next to the train station. The town is also extremely well connected: just 10 minutes by train from Glasgow, home to Glasgow Airport, and a little over an hour by train to Edinburgh. Within Paisley itself, there are many attractions to enjoy, such as the historic Abbey and Coats Memorial, and soon the observatory and other sites will reopen to visitors. If you’re traveling to Glasgow, it’s definitely worth taking the time to stop by Paisley for a walk and to soak in its unique atmosphere.

Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...

The room was very run down. Not worth the money I paid for it. If you are looking for a bit of luxury, go elsewhere. The spa is also shut at the moment. Walking to the restaurant for breakfast I saw a lot of water damage in the corridors as well. I think the whole hotel needs a revamp and I wouldn’t recommend a visit.

The shopping centre is pretty good with a variety of shops. I also enjoyed the cinema which was very comfortable. Renovations were being carried out but didn't detract from the enjoyment of the visit. The walk along the canal was pretty and relaxing. I'd have liked a trip to the museum but sadly it's closed at weekends. Don't miss a trip to nearby Bowling canal basin. The boats and old buildings make it very pretty. This is a beautiful spot with lovely vistas and a great wee eatery at Paton's Place. Great coffee.
