- From US$153.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 139 reviewsVery nice place, the salmon for dinner is very good. BUT BEWARE!! Don't trust Google Maps or Apple Maps: the hotel is 300 meters straight from the port; I was on a bike and had to do the mountain grand prix twice (there and back) because the GPS sends you to the other side of the island, to The Colonsay Apartments, even if it is indicated as The Colonsay Hotel. The photo is what the GPS says, but the hotel is close to the start.Guest review byPaoloItaly

And I haven't yet mentioned the exceptional massage provided by Ellie. They are also pet friendly. Heartily recommended, even if it isn't cheap at all. Please enjoy yourself here. Skye is beautiful but expensive.
Skye is beautiful but expensive. Lodging is hard to find, expensive. Restaurants are crowded. The weather is..the weather. We hit lots of rain. People told us unusually bad for September. But so much to see there.Guest review byRogerUnited States - 10.0

Broadford is well located to travel across all Skye, but also not too far from the bridge of Skye to reach back to mainland. It has a supermarket and some restaurants. A walk on the shore is beautiful.Guest review bySimoneSwitzerland - 8.0

Good location to access the Isle of Skye as well as locations on the mainland. Plenty of eating places within a short drive to suit all tastes. Lots of interesting places to visit and walks for the more energetic.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Picturesque fishing town definitely worth a visit.
Picturesque fishing town definitely worth a visit. Access from the ferry port is via narrow roads with passing places. Numerous walks especially enjoyed the trail to the lighthouse. Distillery and cheese factory are a must. Good restaurant and art at the gallery on the seafrontGuest review byLesUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Whilst Pennygate Lodge is a lovely guest house we found Craignure a very drab functional place. We might have been better staying in Tobermory though the available accommodation there was not as good. Two storms approaching from the west starting with torrential rain did not help make our visit to Craignure very pleasant. Close to ferry of course which is a positive. However nearby Duart Castle well worth a visit.Guest review byJanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Port Ellen is perfect for whisky lovers.
Port Ellen is perfect for whisky lovers. There are many great distilleries in walking distance (Port Ellen, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig and soon another one) and many more by bus or taxi (but taxis are sometimes hard to get and there is no Uber available).Guest review bySilvioSwitzerland - 10.0

Dunvegan was quite central to travelling across Skye for our various planned activities - whisky tour, puffin tour, walking Quiraing, Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr. The two shops had enough for the grocery essentials and there were several cafes and restaurants to provide choice. The castle was interesting though a bit pricey.Guest review bySuzieAustralia - 6.0

We stayed at the caravan purely to facilitate an early morning ferry to Harris. We had fish and chips from the local takeaway which were very overpriced for what they were. They’re clearly taking advantage!Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sconser is quite small but it is central to most of Skye and the Raasay ferry is on your doorstep (lovely walking at the north of the island and up Dun Can, lots of eagles, Brochel Castle, a distillery). The village is set back on a road parallel to the main road and houses look forward to the sea and Raasay and backwards to the mountain Glamaig (great views both ways). The Sconser Lodge Hotel has a cosy bar with open fireplace. Their restaurant is open to non-residents when they can cope with numbers so nip in and chat about available dates well in advance.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0

All aspects were exceptional. Property is gorgeous. Staff amazing! Rabbits and sheep were a welcome bonus. We had planned to go to Skye, but ended up staying both days on the island! 10/10 is too low a rating!!!!Guest review byBryanCanada
