Hamilton has a lot to offer visitors, not least in terms of shopping venues, restaurants and its proximity to outdoor spaces. I ate at Cafe Eataliano on Almada Street and had a delicious meal, served in attractive surroundings. Had my stay been longer, I would happily have returned! I enjoyed walking my dog at Bothwell Road Park, which dates from 1894, and at Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell, which has fabulous views over Strathclyde Loch. Near the entrance to the park is a Toby Carvery, which offers tasty, generous portions at very reasonable prices. I had occasion to shop at short notice, and was grateful to have a retail park comprising a Sainsbury's Superstore, M&S Food Hall, Home Bargains, B&M and a British Heart Foundation - Home and Fashion Store, among others, just a short drive from my hotel.

It was a lovely wee gem of a hotel and brilliant value for money. Rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. All the staff I had the pleasure of dealing with very friendly and efficient. They have a huge choice of food, a bar and smoking area and sun garden. As well as restaurant. Brilliant value for money and also easy to park. I didn’t notice much noise at all in the rooms and it was a Saturday night. I will deefinitelt be back

Scenic, leafy roads, picturesque town, and beautiful UNESCO heritage hotel site. Slightly complicated one way system to get through town to hotel site, fortunately we had google streetviewed in advance! Way out is however much more straightforward. New Lanark Mill museum site well thought out and presented. Hands on opportunities for kids including dress up - think it would be engaging for families. New Lanark Mill One hotel offered an excellent stay. Very restful location with sound of River Clyde gushing along in background along the leafy valley!

The hotel is just off the motorway and is clean, comfortable and good value for money. The car park is the general parking for the Abington services and perhaps a separate area would be good. Having said that, it is a well lit area and in use throughout the night by people using the services.

Easy check-in. Clean room. Comfy bed. Decent breakfast. I will think twice about taking my family here though...especially at weekends. there was a party playing very loud music until 4am. Quite disrespectful. Don't mind it going on until 1am but, most of the night?

Lovely town, helpful people, good restaurants and ice cream shop. It was a great location to drive to the Carmichael estates and visit the grounds and the 5 star restaurant called the Hideaway. We visited a very lovely town, Peebles and from there we highly recommend a drive to Traquair. Wow, the oldest continuously inhabited residence in all of Scotland with a story well presented. Also a tasty brewery and a great little lunch cafe with homemade specialties.

Visiting family which was our main priority

Visiting family which was our main priority Bellshill is nice and we have no complaints, however if you have not got a car then taxis are expensive as there is nothing near for eating and shopping. However we knew this when we booked and it was a good choice for our needs Ideal location if you have a car to get onto the Motorway for Glasgow or Edinburgh
