Preston is a great hub for exploring this part of the north west. Well-connected by train - and by bus from the iconic bus station. And a great place to come back to to eat, drink and wander around. The newly re-furbished Harris is brilliant - especially if you have children and/or are a Wallace and Gromit fan. For urban flâneurs like us, Preston is a great place to go. There are plenty of interesting buildings, old and new, industrial history and pleasant residential areas to explore. A multicultural vibe plus a university mean there's life going on too.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Lytham is a lovely little town full of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Well worth the visit. St Anne’s also has a variety of shops including some high street faves and the beach and pier are super close to the town centre.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 8.0

If you have kids who love sandy beaches AND will stay within bounds, they'll be in heaven. If you love a wide, well-surfaced prom for a wheelchair of some rollerblades, so will you. If you want sophisticated dining options, or nightlife that isn't centred on slot machines, I'd look elsewhere. One thing Morecambe does offer is a cheaper overnight option than Lancaster, without being too far to travel - and The Lake District is within easy reach for a day out away from the seaside. Oh, and the statue of Eric Morecambe, of course!Guest review byMirandaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I liked it because the views are stunning and that it was a running farm. What, in my opinion, was the hard pillows. I used the bath towels as pillows. I think there should be a choice of hard or soft pillows.Guest review byPAULINEUnited Kingdom - 10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant Diamond Star Stay!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant Diamond Star Stay! From the moment we arrived, everything about this accommodation was exceptional in every way. The place was spotless, the cleanliness was second to none and truly impressive. The food was superb, full of flavour and beautifully presented, making every breakfast a real treat. A real highlight was the signature homemade compote with yogurt, it was absolutely to die for! The hosts were absolutely brilliant, warm, welcoming, and always going the extra mile. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their genuine care made our stay feel extra special. What struck us most is that the photos simply don’t do this accommodation justice (and they are impressive). It’s even more stunning in person, with an atmosphere that has to be experienced to be believed. A true gem – we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A brilliant diamond star of a stay!Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Town is fine especially for those who like trains. The 3 pubs were excellent, the County is not included! Takeaways take only cash and are expensive. Brief Encounter and heritage centre are excellent.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Just ask more questions before using their other facilities so you have all information in hand. Reception should share more information on arrival. They have a good pool for people who love swimming and sauna. I enjoyed it very much.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Lovely hotel, good location, we booked it as a base to get into Barnoldswick. Easy to book a taxi into Barnoldswick. The bar was well stocked and managed. The hotel served food until 9pm, we however only had breakfast there. Breakfast was good, self service in the bar area. Room 1 was very small not really for a couple, more suited to single room. Only one side table and one chair. Shower cubicle a bit small. Room 22 ( our riends room) however was large and 2 double beds !Guest review byHELENUnited Kingdom
