Brecon is a great little centre for walking with a nice atmosphere and plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We live an hours drive away but it is really nice to book for a weekend away and to explore the area, the weather isn’t always kind so staying in Brecon provides for alternatives if necessary.Guest review byDawnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My Stay was excellent,Breakfast was cooked to perfection, My room was very clean and tidy, I Couldn't ask for more. I asked for a lower bed pillow which was supplied the same day with a slim one,There hospitality was exceptional Couldn't do enough for you to make you feel welcome,My motorcycle was safely parked in there garage,And every morning the garage doors were opened for me, Which was a very helpfull ack of kindness. Would definitely recommend and stay again, Thank you for a lovely four day stay.Guest review byJonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous.
The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. Visit the White Hart in Builth Wells, a locals pub, but they make you feel very welcome.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Rhayader is a lovely town but there is nothing much there anymore. It is the gateway town to Elan Valley, which is absolutely awesome...... the scenery and the walks are stunning. Couple of nice places to eat in Rhayader .... the Triangle and the Eagle. Theres a lovely riverside walk and the Gigrin is a must to see the Red Kites.Guest review byAndieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Hay was one of our favourite places My husband is an avid book reader, collector. In past years he usually found what he would call a little bit of treasure from one of the many bookshops but he was disappointed at how expensive the books were. The town is still delightful and pleasurable to walk around.Guest review byLizUnited Kingdom - 8.0
I've known Newtown a little most of my life.
I've known Newtown a little most of my life. It's a fairly sleepy place, since a full East-West by-pass was completed in recent years It's still a full-size Welsh town with all the usual facilities, but situated in some absolutely beautiful Welsh countryside. A great centre for a touring holiday.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Machynlleth is a good base for exploring the Welsh coast and Southern Snowdonia, it has good public transport links to many of the Welsh narrow gauge railways and to places along the coast but the town its self although quite attractive and offering a number of places to eat has little in the way of tourist attractionsGuest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 6.0

An ok town, shame as bit of a reflection of the current state of affairs in most British towns these days. Was once I’m sure a bustling and thriving market town. Very handy for walking to the brilliant Powis castle and the local steam train railway too. A few bars and restaurants also.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0
